This is the second year I have gone to Bedford's Greenhouse to purchase flowers in memory of my…read moremother's going to Heaven. I buy live plants, which are displayed at the front of her church on Sunday, and then planted around the church later. The selection was fine. I could've bought some lovely hanging baskets, but I wanted a variety of plants, some in Mumma's favorite colors. I had limited time for the stop, and I quickly found 6 plants, ranging in variety from an adorable short, spiky magenta-toned plant to tall salvia in blue, with shades in between of other flowers, like the one that reminded me of a bouquet of tiny roses. There were a few leaves beginning to brown on the edges, but the rest of the foliage was lush enough that they wouldn't be missed once pruned. I am very pleased. The lady who waited on me was so pleasant. She reassured me that I could take my time (since I walk with a cane, rushing is NOT an option), she placed the plants into a plastic base I could take with me, and she even carried my purchases to the car for me. The only way the experience could have been more convenient is if the plants had miraculously appeared on their own! This was great. Thank you!

However, lately we have been unhappy with the selection and/or prices at our favorite stores and started looking around. The Weeks' Nursery & Greenhouses was one of three new nurseries we discovered. Thanks to my partner, who has better instincts than mine. I would drive past it, thinking this location wasn't worth stopping. I won't write much about Weeks' Nursery. If you are looking for something more than just buying plants, be sure to visit them. A few times, the whole experience made my senses feel very close to magical moments. I even thought The Gray Cat would talk to me, but he was just showing me around.

Great selection and look for good prices before you buy. They had food breakfast items and tables to sit and eat. Also wine tasting. Just a little too early for me. Parking is a bit scarce but we found a lot about 1/2 block from the market. Might be back before end of season. Oh and they had music too!

Brought home peaches, peppers, beets (love cooking the greens) and eggs. All the vendors were super friendly and willing to talk about their goods and even shared tips on growing some of them. Nice bonus is checking out all the Halloween decorations through the town. Different items on each light pole up and down the street all make by local folks.

I took my dad her yesterday to pick up a few flowers for Memorial Day. Years back this was an old…read morewatering hole. Today it's filled with watering cans, garden implements, decorative bric a brac and some very pretty flowers. Any questions we had were answered promptly and courteously. Considering it's prime Main Street location, I expected the prices to be jacked up a bit. We were pleasantly surprised. The geraniums were a buck cheaper than the competitors and the hanging baskets were a steal. The place was attractive and nicely designed. They also do landscaping and patio installation. They seem to have grown, it would be nice to have a few more garden carts for easier plant selection.

I live here, like right near this place, so I have to show some love for it. It doesn't get enough business and I'm really worried it will end up closing down. Nice to see all the new reviews being posted for it by people who love it. What's not to love. Sometimes the prices, but all the cool unusual stuff, and the way it brings the community together. Fantastic. The selection of stuff of ALL kinds is really really amazing at Clarence Flea Market. You could spend hours here. We're not talking about a few stands. We're talking awful awesomeness. I'm not great friends with the owners of the whole complex but you can't have everything. Antique World is really cool and there's a lot more to it than meets the eye. Come and check it out and keep it in business. The Bird Feed USA store already went out of business and that place was cool :( Speaking of cool want to see how cool my bedroom is.

On bored days when there's nothing to do, and I haven't been to antique shop in a while, I almost…read morealways come here. I've grown to love it, and I'd call it my favorite place to shop for antiques in the area, quite certainly because they practically have everything you could ever want from an antique mall! This antique mall is a part of the stretch of antique places along Main Street in Clarence; they're all connected as a part of the whole 'Antique World & Flea Market' business. Uncle Sam's Antique Co-Op previously sat in this location. Inside it is most certainly a booming antique mall, with separate areas for a couple of different vendors, and all sorts of items on display for sale. In particular I noticed old books, vinyl, LIFE magazines, clothes a ton of old photographs, and they also had a ton of cool jewelry and furniture. I actually spotted a couple of things I would have been more than happy to buy if they hadn't ended up being so out of my budget. Also included in the antique mall is a small area designated as the 'country store,' which offered baked good mixes, noodles, seeds, even fudge! There are also a few home decor items that aren't technically antiques/old, but they're designed in that style. I've brought home so many of my favorite antiques from here - recently a re-purposed oil lamp, a framed heinz ketchup ad, and a mesmerizing pilgrim lady I had to go back and buy because I couldn't stop thinking about her eyes. I'm half convinced something possessed me. She just wanted a home! (Wow, she's a crazy antique lady, huh?!) Staff was incredibly friendly, probably the most friendly I've ever experienced while antique shopping. While making our rounds we were frequently asked if we needed help with anything, if we wanted to see anything behind the display cases, ect. We were also kept very informed on items that were on sale. I wish I could have found something to take home there, as it feels like the sort of store you would love to be able to support. I highly recommend this store for people who are just starting to get into the antiquing world. They have a very fair variety of objects for sale at decent prices (for an antique, anyway), all while not being too overwhelming.
