I have been with Dave Christy , State Farm for 10 maybe 11 years. Yes prices do go up sometimes but…read moreall insurance companies do that. The claims department is amazing. I know because I had a car stolen once. over the years I've gotten quotes from different reputable auto insurance companies, but they've never been able to beat the price that I pay with State Farm. ( Dave Christy).

Buying a house, called my agents office of nearly 20 years to discover he had retired, Good for…read morehim! He transferred his policies among 2 or 3 other local agents, the office that answered my call was not the agent that received my policies, but they were kind enough to transfer me to the proper office. Great, all going well. My call was answered, I explained that I had recently gotten married and needed to make a few policy changes as well and inquire on bringing my now wife's policies over, and start the process on a new homeowners policy. mostly to just have the simplicity of a single agent. I was told I needed to speak to an agent. She said the agent was on the phone right now and she would give me a call as soon as she was off the phone. Well that must have been one heck of a phone call! My call was placed at 9:48 am, I received a call back at 6:18 pm. By then I was away from the phone for the evening. I was a bit miffed, I sent an email again explaining the need for the homeowners quote, and that I would just seek if from my now wife's agent and look into moving my policies to her agent. Explain is the past 19 year with my now retired agent, I never waited more than an hr or so for a return call on needing to add a policy or make a change. I received a lovely email from Mr. Christy, The highlight of the email was this phrase, " You Must not have thought very highly of Dave Reighley to have most of your policies with another agent." Ok, My now wife and I have been dating for 8 years, not married and not living together. She had her agent I had mine. Over the years being together we invested in some real estate and continue to. On our wedding date mid June 2016 she had a total of 4 policies. One car and 3 homes ( homes and a car in her name ) Me I had a total of 8 policies, as of a month earlier it was 9, replacing of of my service vans, by next month with out combining policies I'd have exceeded 10 policies. Hi comment questioning my relationship with Dave Reighley is extremely unprofessional! I must have thought a lot of him having stayed with him for 19 years even with non stop calls from other agents wanting to submit a quote for my insurance needs. My reply is I'm agent loyal, they reply what if we can save you money, I say not worth it. As for Reighly State Farm, I will miss him as my agent, over the years I really enjoyed our face time and his staff was fantastic, Betty who retired a few years ago from his office I adored. So, Yes Christy was more than happy to let my business go to another agent, and I'm happy to take my money else where. Today I sent and email asking for all my polices to be trasfered to my wifes agent. Christy's office replied promptly. Stating I had to call a 1-877 number. Now before I sent my request I found information though state farm on how to transfer accounts. This is a simple process for the agent to transfer, but Christy's office seems to want to make this process harder than it needs to be for me. I then confirmed with the new agent I selected, that they could have easily fill my request. If you are looking for a new agent, and customer service means nothing to you then you might be happy with Christy's office. As State Farm is a good product. But if you wish to deal with a agent that promptly returns calls and conducts business professionally then I suggest you seek a different state farm agent. This is not the office for you. Perhaps Christy's office has more business than it can handle, because I would think a client holding on average of 9-10 policies a year would have some worth. I'm no expert, but I'd guess the average insurance client has 3 or less policies. Enjoy retirement Dave Reighley you have earned it, no question.
