I wrote Retailers an e-mail stating my intention to switch on 4/22/2025, as that was the date listed on my policy for renewal. Well unbeknownst to me, that was the date of the 6 month time period from when we renewed, but they did not tell me that. Instead, they let me proceed with the cancellation and then they dug up all of these clauses in "paragraph 3, section 4 row 38" that says there will be a $500+ penalty for cancelling mid-term. Again, why not tell me this before the cancellation was final? Instead, they charged my bank account by ACH weeks later. Terrible company, stay away.
