There is a Starcrest closer to my house but this one had better reviews so I chose this location. The first time I dropped off clothes, I had 7 items. When I was handed my ticket, it was a ticket that had my name and a number in it. It didn't say how many items I had. I knew I would most likely not be the one picking up the dry cleaning so I handed the ticket back to the girl and asked if they could update it with the amount of items I had dropped off. She happily obliged. I'm wondering, though, why didn't they just do this in the first place? Not a big deal, but it is better customer service if your items are listed. My second experience was much worse. I dropped off a vintage, silk, nightgown and robe. The young man who took my order was very friendly. I showed him that I had two items and that they would need some extra attention for stains. When I went to pick up my vintage nightgown set, it was no longer a set. I was missing the nightgown. I did not realize this until I had walked to my car. I went back in and told the young woman working behind the counter that I was missing my nightgown. Her first response was "are you sure?" Then it was a casual, " I will give it another look and see if it's here." Well, it wasn't. So I told her that it needed to be found right away because I had sold this item and needed to ship it. Only then did she seem concerned. She was very nice through this whole process, I must say. She called her main location and after several minutes of being on the phone, she told me it was there. Then she proceeded to tell me that all of their drivers had gone home and no one was available. If I wanted the item today, I need to go pick it up myself. I go to the other location amd I tell them I'm there for the missing nightgown. One girl literally turned her back to the counter and got on her phone. The other girl went to look for it. She came back and said "we had no idea who this belonged to". She then handed me the nightgown without a bag. Mind you, it's pouring rain outside. It's a dry cleaners. Who gives someone their item back without a bag? Now, I will say that the garments were clean and most of the spots came out. With both experiences the clothes looked great. So I would maybe recommend this business. Just be on your game when you do drop off and pick ups. They are not well organized. read more

I'm not sure what sort of laundry service facility doesn't check care tags but they legit shrunk most of my favorite pieces. I even separated the clothes for them as to what could be bleached and not bleached. extremely disappointed. not to mention they charge almost forty dollars for even the smallest load of white clothes. nothing weighed just per bag even if it is filled or not. never going back and do not recommend. read more

Was slick and easy, picked up at the drive three and the young lady offered to hang my shirt in the back seat.

I haven't had a problem with this dry cleaners. Recently dry cleaned a black dress I wore to a funeral down south, it was hot, so I had some deodorant stains and it smelled like it had been worn, but I really love this dress. Smells and stains are gone. I also had a very nice blue sweater dry cleaned and it came out nice. I've used the full service laundry fluff and fold when I was new in town and it was sufficient. The prices are a bit higher than I'm used to, but they do a good job and have very convenient hours. Everyone is friendly and eager to help. Ask for a StarCrest laundry bag to make drop off easier. Efficient and convenient. A perfectly adequate dry cleaner. They don't seem to be any better or worse than any other place. A-OK.

Don't use this place. They ruined an orange dress of mine. I was getting ready to put it on before going to a wedding and noticed blue pen all over the dress. Now, I know things happen, but there was a handwritten note on the ticket that said "Have customer fill out damage report". However when I picked up the dress no one notified me of the damaged dress. Then they had the balls to charge me to dry clean the dress they RUINED!! I have been loyal to this place, but looks like I will be taking my business elsewhere! read more

Always quick, and the drive through lane makes it easy to get in and get out quickly. My favorite cleaners ever!

I needed a place to clean my work wear and this place looked professional and had some decent reviews. They get my pants and shirts clean and pressed in a timely fashion but it comes at a price. who knew the cleaners would be so expensive out here in Bloomington - not much competition? or maybe the water is just more expensive out here. I may test out some of the other places in order to keep my cleaning costs down... read more

Love this place! They are fast, friendly, and I've always been pleased with how my clothes and comforters have been cleaned!

This is my new go-to dry cleaning place. They do as good a job as anyone and you can recycle hangers and plastic there.

They don't change their cleaning fluid! An expensive designer pantsuit of mine was cream colored. It came back a dirty tan. I used the Normal location, but I doubt policy is different at any of their stores. read more

Summer of 2019. They've been A-Ok on dress shirt laundering and pressing til now. All of a sudden my short sleeve dress shirts come back per them "requiring Executive Shirt status" = 2.5 times the reg shirt price. Not discussed at dropoff's, triple-charge attempt at pick-up, unclear/inconclusive dialogue on why the shirts did/did not require this level (generally Dept Store shirts on my end, and per their website Exec. Shirts are high-end brands). Wrote letter to the Manager at this location, received zero response. Next dropoff discussed cost/charge/status with clerk, and seemed to arrive at an acceptable go-forward. While that run went as planned, the dropoff after that was another return to same - Exec. Shirt level charging on shirts not at that level, and vague discernment on what is or is not that level. Second letter to Manager at this location, second letter entirely unanswered. :( not by mail, not by text, not by phone call, nadda. read more

My clothes all came back smelling like an ashtray.... A friend of mine had the same issue just a week ago.

They ruined our silk bedroom curtains and wrinkled our other curtains very disappointed with the service .. Will not be using them again.. Don't recommend them to anyone who values their items read more

I have had endless issues with this cleaner. I spend about $100 per month there cleaning my work suits. They constantly chip my buttons and got all snarky when I asked them to replace a jacket that had a purple button and I had no replacement. Then, they have now lost a down comforter of mine. I have tickets indicating 9 items and they say there were only 8 items. Someone there will be nice and warm in my Charter Club ($150 on sale) down comforter this winter. The College location lost a suit of mine about two or three years ago. I guess i will be seeing them in small claims court as they are giving me the royal run around.
