This is a short walk from the Versailles Chateau RER station, so we had a late lunch before heading…read moreback into Paris. It was a rainy day, and we were struggling with our umbrellas (mine flipped outwards with the strong winds), and one of the baristas opened the door for us and let us get ourselves together. We were offered menus, which were in English and French, and ordered at the counter when ready. I've been coming down with a cold, so I ordered Golden milk and avocado toast. The meal was very healthy, it came with quinoa salad and carrot slaw. Light, but a good little bit of protein for the vegetarian option. The Golden milk was very nice, the turmeric and ginger balanced out nicely, so it wasn't overwhelming. It helped me feel a little better and is a great way to warm up. They have a combo meal deal- drink, lunch plate, and dessert, but Golden milk isn't included with this option. My friend split her pistachio cake with me and it was delicious! I love pistachio anything- so it was a nice treat. It's a small and cozy little cafe and a nice place to take a break after touring the Palace.

Nice little cafe…read more Avocado toast is different and has pomegranate seeds and nuts to give both sweet and crunchy. The coffees being served are quite nice and I'd recommend taking home a bag since it's about ten euros for 250gm for their espresso blend. It's a little expensive for a cafe latte or flat white with milk. The microfoam could be better.

This is the coffee shop that we've all been longing for to come to Paris -- friendly, personal,…read morehomemade, and, most importantly, VEGAN. (There are some other coffee shops in Paris that are similar in style, but if you *don't* eat animals and their secretions, any time you go to one of those "cool type" shops you have to settle for just a cuppa.) No! Us vegans want something to EAT, by jove. Thank God for Grounded. Everything is delicious and creatively presented, the hot chocolate is actually made with melted dark chocolate (um, SO GOOD,) and their menu is always evolving with the seasons. AMAZING food, guys. I'll be back -- hungry -- for more of their savory fare.

I made sure to scope out some great vegan spots before I visited Paris, and I can definitely say…read moreI'm glad I put this place on the list of restaurants to eat at! The two items we ordered were both SO good. We ordered some sort of toast that has almond butter, hazelnut butter, jam, and coconut flakes. It had the perfect amount of sweetness to satisfy a slight morning sweet tooth. The other item we ordered was the bowl of the month (or maybe it's the bowl of the week?) It, too, was wonderful, and so filling! Grounded is really cute and cozy inside, but I will say that it was HOT in this small space. Also, there isn't much seating in here. Maybe enough for 12-15 people. Still, the food here is incredible and the man working at the counter was so kind. Definitely stop in here if you can!
