When I showed up, the guy in front of me ordered a drip coffee. They didn't have enough coffee between any of their thermoses to fill a grande drip. Then I had to wait 10 minutes while they find the right beans and grind them. The seating area was about half full and there were three people behind the counter. After I placed my order, I waited another 10 minutes. This Starbucks gets a rare Starbucks five-star review. Employees were ultra friendly and the coffee and pastries were extra good. perhaps it was because the manager was sitting in the dining room. But for whatever reason, this Starbucks impressed today. Interesting side note: for all of those who might think Starbucks is the seat of coffee evil, keep in mind, this Starbucks and all Starbucks pay their employees 100% of their salaries for all the time they missed due to the devastating hurricane and tornadoes that struck southern Louisiana in 2021. read more

This is probably my favorite local Starbucks (within a 40 mike radius). The store is clean, the staff are attentive and efficient, and they provide free WiFi. It's not one of the larger Starbucks coffee places, but there's plenty of room to sit and enjoy delicious, fresh coffee. I have noticed a few negative reviews below mine, but they're over a year old. Im not usually one to make reviews about places because i get that sometimes you don't have control over what happens but I went to Starbucks today 9/13 and Hurricane Francine hit us 9/11 and left us without power on 9/12 which was also my birthday so i wasn't able to claim my free birthday reward so i went the day after when they had power, I even had the email saying that it was my birthday reward so I went in and I was like "hey, we were out of power yesterday, do you think i could get it today" and i watched her go talk to the manager and it looked like the girl had said a few words and the manager instantly shook her head no, and i was like.. okay? I was obviously upset because my birthday unfortunately fell on the day after Francine hit and i couldn't get any of my birthday rewards, and I was literally so shocked when Starbucks didn't honor it and wouldn't even give me a chance to make up for the fact that i couldn't control that both Thibodaux and Houma were both out of power from Francine. Updated and stylish facility, quick friendly service and I watched and employee go above and beyond in assisting a rather rude, demanding customer. My coffee was perfect and my banana bread was heated up as I requested. I can get over them not having skim milk on the milk/sugar bar (if many don't use it, it's a waste to keep it out -I get that). ROTTEN MILK IN COFFEE!!! My husband went here and had really, really slow service. When he came back with our drinks, they got them wrong. My iced tea was watered down too much and his coffee had bits of chunky milk at the bottom!!! Thank you Starbucks for helping this teacher keep her insanity. Not only do you make my hour drive to work more enjoyable (especially during sugarcane season), but you make my day with sometimes "PRESSING" students and parents much more tolerable. You are the reason I am not behind bars. The staff is ALWAYS perky and friendly even at 5:30 in the A.M. It is obvious that they get a jump start on their coffee shots before the customers get there. How else can you explain the perkiness THAT early in the morning? I've never had a screwed up order that wasn't reconciled properly, and on occasion the baristas show a giving spirit by "paying it forward" themselves. Hello, My name is Katherine Gautrey and I would like to tell you how awful my service was a month ago. I was served by a lady named LINZI! She was so rude. I waited in line for about 25 minutes watching her chat and play on her phone before handing me coffee. When I finally got my coffee she opened the window with an unfriendly look on her face, she didn't approach me or anything. She literally handed me my coffee and closed the window back. Love Starbucks, but this one and the one in Houma are easily the poorest run stores I've experienced. Since these are the only two in my neck of the woods, I'm kind of stuck. But my habit of 2-3 visits a day has been reduced to 2-3 per week. A sad situation that I wish the corporate office would address. read more
