The discovery series, pales in comparison. The staff is top-notch and clearly experienced. A special shout-out to Shelly, who has worked for the company for approximately 18 years. Does Starbucks have an award pin for year's service? She has an exceptional ability to understand customers' needs the moment they approach. It is clear that she genuinely enjoys her work and takes pride in the company, and that energy carries through the entire store. The music volume is ideal. During my travels over the past few months, I've noticed that some Starbucks locations play their music far too loudly. Grabbed a couple drinks here yesterday, a cookie crumble frap and a banana protein matcha latte. Employees were nice but the drinks took a little longer than anticipated. The frap was fine but I literally only took about three drinks of the matcha and it was gone because the cup was completely full of ice. I didn't notice it when they gave it to me but I did notice that it was almost half foam. It tasted fine but the amount of ice was crazy. read more

Went through drive through and ordered a quad shot w steamed milk in a short cup! Smaller than their "tall" small. I get it and it tastes horrible, open it up and it's green. I'm assuming Macha because my fiancé ordered an iced macha latte. Aweful staff. The macha latte was all milk. We were visiting from out of town and really craving Starbucks, so we stopped at this location, despite its 2-star rating, and had a great experience! After a long drive with no bathroom breaks, we went straight to the restroom, and they didn't require a purchase or code, which was a relief. The staff greeted us with smiles and were very outgoing, even sharing info about their specialty Alien mugs and mug toppers (though they were out of stock). The store was super clean and well-organized, making the whole visit enjoyable. Don't let the low rating fool you--this Starbucks is definitely worth a stop! read more

Writing this review for Shelly. She was very rude toward me when I was checking on my drink. I had a party of 3 and 2 of them got their drinks. They mistakenly left my drink at the mobile pick order. Which would been fine accept Shelly love to talk nonsense instead of simply just checking. Making excuses such as "I don't make drinks, so I don't know how long it be." "I don't know, I didn't take your order. When she did take our orders. She needs more training and I recommend she re-do her course on customer service. I asked for a trenta sized glass of ice water & was told they can only offer me ice after in a grande cup. They were out of TONS of food items, different milks, syrups, you name it. They may have all been new staff, but they were all scrambling around, confused as to what their task was. We waited over 20 minutes for a Brown Sugar shaken espresso, a bagel with avocado spread, & sriracha. After 15 minutes, I went to ask for another grande glass of water since that's all they allow, & my missing sriracha. Even though there were 5 girls behind the counter and only 4 customers waiting on drinks my iced coffee with heavy whipping cream and SF syrup took 10 minutes and then it tasted terrible. Like maybe they burned the coffee and didn't put enough syrup. I asked for more syrup and it still tasted pretty bad, not what I'm used to at other Starbucks that's for sure. Cute location and easy to find once you enter Roswell. Some staff were friendly, they were in middle of shift change or meeting it appeared - so my drink took a while to be ready. She said she she couldn't find my transaction to give me my money back and then further commented that they are about to make my drink. I have never left a review and it is especially heartbreaking because it's my beloved Starbucks, but after the manager refused to acknowledge that we were overcharged and basically did not care that her store was going to get ANOTHER bad Yelp review I felt it was warranted. After waiting in the drive through for over 25 minutes, being overcharged $1.40 (it's not about the money) being told by a barista that she HAS to charge us (untrue) and then speaking to the manager who would rather get a bad review than make her customer happy-well she's getting it now. I usually take the time to give reviews when the service is exceptional but this Starbucks seems to have some issues. We were traveling through with a stopover in Roswell. The first day we ordered five drinks on our mobile app and two of us went to retrieve them. The first problem was that two of the drinks couldn't be made because they were out of hazelnut syrup and coconut milk. No biggie-it happens, altered the drinks to second choices and moved on. Once the drinks were made we asked for a drink carrier- they were out. UGH! I'm sure some people had a good laugh watching the two of us hustle across the parking lot juggling five drinks while grimacing in pain and chanting "hot hot hot hot" because of the hot cups! Thank God we made it back to the hotel with all the drinks in tact. The next morning we figured we'd give them another shot on our way out of town because, well, there are no other Starbucks for miles. We ordered with a fair amount of confusion from the barista running the register. Then waited for two drinks and a breakfast sandwich, got in the car and my husband took a bite of his sandwich. The egg in the center was freezing cold. Ick! Went back in and got a new one. Started to drive and biting into the second sandwich discovered it was ice cold as well. Turned around and went back for a refund. The barista admitted that they hadn't thawed enough breakfast sandwiches and were hoping no one would notice that they weren't heated all the way through. Nice. I gave it one star because if you are driving through Roswell or live in Roswell and enjoy a Starbucks drink-this is your only option. read more

Cashier Mike was very pleasant. Tall dark haired Barrista was too involved with talking about herself to coworker, bragging about her joe-making skills and talking about how glad she was that there weren't many customers (gee). Fortunately I overheard them and knew that they were making my requested whole-milk latte with 2% milk. I asked if she could please add some 1/2 and 1/2 to it. She grumbled and said, "oh, you want me to make your (fill in fake Italian fancy sounding coffee name) a (fill in second fake Italian fancy sounding coffee name). I said, as politely as I could, that I had asked for whole milk, really wanted whole milk, understood if they were out, but would appreciate some 1/2 and 1/2. She then dumped out the entire drink and started over. For any haters who may criticize me for being picky, if I'm gonna pay nearly $5 for a stupid cup of coffee, it should be just the way I asked for it. Stopped here headed through New Mexico. We walked into the cafe and we weren't greeted. We walked up the the register and waited for the POS person to come. There were multiple baristas walking by and did not say one word to us, didnt acknowledge we were there. I am not on the anti-corporate band wagon. I enjoy the consistency of both the products and services at Starbucks. That said I visited this location twice while in Roswell and the results are a little substandard compared to most others. First, there were flies - not like swarms but certainly enough to warrant attention. Next the baristas seemed to be rotating at the pass thru and some called names, some didn't (guess which I got). The place was also not as clean as I'm used to, yes they were busy on first visit but not on second. So all that said my drinks were still made well and the staff was friendly, if a little stressed. This is my Starbucks for better or worse. Summary: The store manager is a friendly and conscientious guy. Most of the employees are friendly enough. My coffee is usually right. This place is slow. The number one problem with this Starbucks is its speed. This place is usually unreasonably slow 4 out of 5 times. I've pondered at length (usually in line waiting to order or, more frustrating, waiting for my drink) why this is the case. I don't have the answer, but I've developed an opinion: there's a high turnover of employees and a reluctance to/inability to schedule enough workers for morning rushes. Some faces have been here a while but most are new and may not be here for very long. If this place were anywhere else and I didn't have the hometown loyalty to it, I'd give it 1.5 or maybe 2 stars. I stopped in on Feb 5 at 6:30 am.. The service was extremely poor. Only 3 cars in front of me and took 15 to 20 minutes to get coffee. When I arrived at window drive thru attendant was also making coffee instead of serving customters. The attendant was not making my coffee as it was sitting on counter which she passed twice before providing to me. By now was not nearly as hot, actually only warm. I will not visit this place in the mornings again. Rather go to McDonalds. If you love starbucks, its the only place in town besides a kisok in a grocery store so take your patience with you. I walked in this Starbucks at 0525. I brought several people with me and we were not greeted nor welcomed into the store. When I attempted to purchase a traveler coffee I was promptly told that someone called one in and once they completed their order then they would begin mine. I asked how long this would take and the gentleman told me at least 20 minutes. Looking confused I asked why it would take so long and he responded that a call in order was priority over the customer standing in front of him. I have been to this location a few times and every single time there is an issue. As a daily Starbucks drinker, this is the worst Starbucks I have ever had the displeasure of visiting.
