This place has become my Go-To stop after my workout or errands around town... I just love the comfy, open vibe here! On my most recent stop, I tried their "Pink Drink" (mix of Coconut Milk and Strawberry?)...and it was SO good! Also enjoyed their Cake Pops (Birthday and Cookies 'n Cream flavors). I respect how this old giant chain managed to stay with the trends...and seemingly still current in light of all the amazing dessert and tea bars popping up everywhere. A brief stop with my colleague to plan our presentation with the customer, this Starbucks has inside and outside seating though the outside really only has a view of the parking lot and the busy roadway. Sit inside. A little bit noisy inside with the machinery going but there's plenty of seating. Friday morning- 10:15 am. Not rush hour. 7 people behind the counter. Service is horrible and no teamwork. Waited twenty minutes for coffee and had to ask for our drinks again. When my husband asked where our coffee was, Brendan went and made them. When he called our name I went to the counter and said "thank you so much for getting it done" and he replied "there's no reason for him (my husband) to have that attitude with me". Unbelievable! $22 for 4 coffees. Store is dirty. Brendan spent most of his time talking to an attractive woman while 4 people waited in line behind her. Did Brendan care? Nah. When my husband asked for a manager, he replied "I am one of them" while he continued to roll his eyes and prove through his actions that he doesn't care and doesn't have potential to climb the corporate ladder at this store or anywhere else. This is the single worst Starbucks I have ever been in. Speaks volumes to whomever is the main manager of this store. Please go anywhere else to get coffee. Just don't support this store! Worst customer service anywhere in Rock Hill. If I could give half a star I would have chosen that. One full is too much. read more

This Starbucks is such a great addition to Rock Hill! Very fast and friendly staff, even on a busy Saturday. I love the size of this particular location. Terrible as usual. All Starbucks are not created equal. This one always serves your food lukewarm or cold. I've had chocolate croissants that were so cold the chocolate hadn't melted. I've had breakfast sandwiches that were cold in the middle. That's definitely a bad feeling on your way to work to bite into a warm on the outside cold on the inside breakfast sandwich. Well Friday I ordered something safe or so I thought. Oatmeal and tea. I asked for sugar to be put into the tea, it wasn't. I hear the cashier say exactly what my order was at the window. STILL SERVED WRONG!!! The oatmeal I thought surely they can't mess that up! I was wrong take a look at this dry oatmeal with barely enough water in it, so some of it was that chunky sticky think oatmeal consistency that is just disgusting. See below. I went to work and added milk and water from my water bottle to make it decent. THAT STARBUCKS by Winthrop needs a whole new morning crew! They really will ruin your day. I get that today is National Coffee Day(no deals, btw), yet that does not explain the lack of staff at this location before 8 am this morning. There were seven cars in the drive-thru and more spilling into the neighboring street. Figured it had to be quicker to go inside- Nope. It was maddening that cashiers were continuing to ring up patrons only to have to break and get confused by making drinks too. It would have ran smoother had one/ two taken the money, pause complete said order, then move on to the next customer. Slightly chaotic to watch them tossing cup labels here and there above each others heads. Also non-ordering customers just milling about in the same line with paying customers. Strange, move over please. Longer than normal wait for a simple coffee as if I had ordered a Venti super complicated one, plus ran out of some of the brews. read more

I love Starbucks but this location is just horrible. The printer broke this morning and I ordered my coffee online. So when I came in and saw that my coffee wasn't ready I was just thinking that they were just taking a little longer to make it. Well they were working on one lady's order and I interrupted a woman, told her that my take it has been lost in the past. I asked if she was making my order and she said no she will get right to me. Well it took her about 10 minutes to make one drink and everybody else in there was kind of busy so I understand why she couldn't get to me but whenever I walked in she should've said that their printer is broken, how can I help you? she could've started making my drink or put somebody else on my drink when I walked in. instead I had to get a refund and I was very late for work. They Could've just taken care of me better and been more communicative about the situation when I got there instead of just looking at me and running away. maybe I could've got to work on time with my coffee. :-( read more

Worst Starbucks I've ever been to. My iced drink was 95% ice! I got about 6 sips out of my iced drink. Horrible staff. Food was good. Employees though, i don't know if it was the morning or what. But from the time I began ordering it was like there was a problem. I ordered the most basic turkey sausage and cheese on a plain bagel. No add- to's or substitutions , I didn't even ask for anything to be taken off. Then I ask for a hot water. My stomach has been so upset, and that seems to calm it. This lady stops and gives me the "are you serious" face. I'M PREGNANT AND MY STOMACH FEELS LIKE ITS A KNOTTED UP ROPE, LADY. I DID NOT ASK YOU FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER. SO YES, I WOULD LIKE HOT WATER PLEASE. This is not what I said. I smiled nicely and said, " yes please. I have an upset stomach and that actually helps. She poured it , and then just left it there. The place wasn't even that busy. I kid you not , they had 5 ladies working and only 4 customers. That is included my sister and I who had already ordered. I have had orders incorrectly made by Starbucks more often than made correctly. This time I read the order to the lady 3 times and reminded her I wanted one pump of syrup for a drink ordered for my husband. At the window I again asked them to verify one pump of syrup. I took the drink, spent my hard earned money, only to get home and find out the drink had 4 pumps of syrup. If I could be refunded for every drink made incorrectly I would have lots of money in my pocket. They always are conveniently out of the ingredients for a Caramel Apple Spice drink I like (I am not a coffee drinker). I've been know to get a coffee drink in it's place. So Saturday I stopped by this Sartbucks to get a coffee to push me through to lunch and since I had not eaten breakfast. I am on keto so I got an iced coffee with heavy cream, sugar free syrups, and cinnamon. While ordering the drive-thru guy starts laughing and I assumed he was having a separate conversation with someone inside. After a pause, I finished my order and he began laughing at me and says, "Girl, why you gotta be so extra?" I will admit mine is a little more complicated than most, but if they had keto friendly or low carb drinks already on the menu , I would order them. Instead I have to customize mine. I love coffee and it is what gets me through the day, especially iced! And to top this story off, the guy was so busy laughing he typed my order in wrong! Always have unbelievable incredible service that set the bar very high making me want to keep come back. I have gone from myrtle beach to charlotte Columbia and my drink has always been the same price (Venti iced coffee no classic, sf vanilla, heavy whipping cream and 2 shots skinny mocha) it is without fail $3.87 unless it is an inset Starbucks in Harris teeter or target and the price is cheaper. Years now no change. Now I go to this Starbucks and the price jumped to $4.09 and when I questioned if they raised their prices they told me no and I said well something it not right... I just accepted they rang up the order wrong or the prices jumped 22c. Not happy but will deal with it I guess. After almost daily trips I notice the price jump. Well after a week of price change I went back yesterday and ordered a grande instead of Venti since I was going to eat in an hour. The price was 4.69 for a GRANDE I asked why so much and was told "sorry that's price" when I explained the Venti was 4.09 the other day I'll just take a venti since it was way cheaper. She said ok well that price is $4.89! Seriously a $1 jump in prices you can keep that crap I'll go elsewhere. Rude customer service on top of them not knowing if their prices have changed. read more
