Compared to other Starbucks Reserve locations like the Starbucks Reserve Roastery in Chelsea or the one in Empire State Building, this one is more low key and not as touristy. It doesn't feel as fancy but does have a slightly more elevated feel than your typical Starbucks. I have Chai Tea Latte at regular Starbucks quite regularly and I actually prefer that over the Chai Tea Latte at Starbucks Reserve, which has a strong cinnamon flavor. However, the Matcha Tea Latte, I prefer the more authentic one they have at Starbucks Reserve. So when I stoped by with a friend for coffee/tea the other day, I ordered an Iced Green Tea Latte ($6+ for Tall). I do prefer hot teas in general, but needed something cool for a hot afternoon. If you're looking for a local but a little more upscale Starbucks with a different menu, come give it a try. read more

Came here for an espresso martini flight, unfortunately they were out of the mixes for flights but said they could do individual drinks, which was interesting. Regardless the pumpkin spice espresso martinis were so exceptional! Definitely recommend! read more

I guess they were in a bad mood and attacked us randomly.... :( + very long lines for the restroom......... Very big Starbucks store with special drinks & food items on their menu! The pastries we got here were sooooo good and I'd get them all the time if they weren't seasonal :( the ube coconut latte we got was more on the bitter end but everything else was fantastic! This spot does get crowded since it's a Starbucks reserve so be aware of that. They also have a bar upstairs but you should make reservations for that. A nice Starbucks Reserve experience that is a little less overwhelming than the full-blown Roasteries. We walked in on a Sunday morning and the store was maybe just 1/3 full with no line. We were able to order and get our drinks within about 5 minutes, and had our pick of seating. Because this isn't a Roastery, there are fewer food options and not really any merch save some bags of beans. We were really hoping to snag a bag of the bourbon barrel-aged beans we'd seen at a previous Roastery visit, but no dice. However, if you're after the chance to try the specialty Reserve beverages without the chaos of the Roastery experience, this is the perfect place to do so! read more

Usually randomly dine here with an associate. I don't really buy from Starbucks. Nice cafe but costumer service needs to improve and stay consistent. Employees still get paid more than average minimum wage worker so it should reflect on service. They improved on matcha formula. They used to include overly sweet syrup but now they ask and I always opt out. Cookie was sweet yet I probably won't spend anymore money at Starbucks when there's better cafe options. Oh how I'm jealous that we don't have a Starbucks Reserve in my hometown. Whether you want a regular pick-me-up drink, an adult (wink wink) coffee, or just looking for a place to work this is the spot for you. The have 2 separate ordering counters, 1 for regular drinks and one for alcoholic drinks. The wait wasn't long at all and it was quiet enough to work, though people were having low tone conversations just fine. I was craving an affogato reminiscent of the one I had in Italy and the one I had here totally hit the spot. It was topped with caramel and a tiny stroopwafel which looked super cute. We also tried a malt, but that wasn't the best. It was too small, watery and tasted like sweet milk instead of coffeee. We were headed to happy hour so we didn't order alcohol this time. If you're running out of steam while you're out sightseeing, or too early to go to Roey's down the street, definitely stop by. read more

This was my first time having an Espresso Martini. It was good. The espresso was very potent and I didn't taste a lot of alcohol. It was a much needed drink after a long week. The service was very prompt and excellent. The restaurant had a lot of people but it was not noisy. The environment was very relaxing. I also had a cinnamon roll which tasted good. This is my first time in the Starbucks reserve. I found that ambience to be inviting, good place to chill and or get some work done. Would be a great spot to meet for a first date. The music is a little loud, but not overbearing The food selection is different than the regular Starbucks. I ordered an iced Americano with a pump of chocolate, which is what I usually get and it was OK! My olive stick was delicious w more olive than bread ! The chocolate chip cookie was ok. I would not order again but I'm a cookie snob! I want an espresso Martini , but it is morning time. All the baristas seem friendly and informative. I thought the prices were going to be a lot more, but they are comparable to regular Starbucks. I definitely recommend this place. I'm not sure how I feel about Starbucks reserve location. It's big, it's busy and full of shiny coffee machines and multi levels The staff is friendly and everywhere thru-out the shop. I wanted a cocktail but it was a Tuesday and I still had an afternoon of work to get done. Between the sensory overload of the all the people I settled for a bite to prosciutto and cheese sandwich and an affogato with caramel for lunch I was able to snag a chair and a mini hi table near a window facing the espresso bar enjoyed my meal and people watched. An upscale coffee joint tucked into the heart of the Meatpacking District. I love me a good Starbucks Reserve and the NYC one fits the vibes of the city so well -- it's not as large as the Chicago one, but has plenty of room and a distinct feel! The upstairs bar feels super luxe and the decor feels really dark and moody, which I love. I'm not a big coffee person, but got a Whiskey and Coffee pairing at the bar and it was SO. GOOD. This whiskey barrel-aged cold brew was the smoothest cup I've ever tasted and the whiskey was quality too. It was fun to read about and the ambiance was nice too! On our walk back up to our hotel, we were trying to find a bathroom and came across the lovely Starbucks Reserve. Have you been to a Starbucks Reserve before? Not me! Wow! What an incredible experience! Our bio break turned into a wonderful experience. Not only is the space modern and sophisticated, the space was clean down to the bathroom. There is a difference selection of food and drink items compared to your typical Starbucks, including alcoholic drinks. Our bio break turned into a cocktail stop and we weren't mad about that! We ordered two martinis, which included an espresso and oleto espresso martini. Our barista started off my chilling our martini glasses while she started making our cocktails. Pretty legit! Decent alcohol too! Ketel One vodka was used for both drinks! Watching the process was so much fun. The attention to detail down to the foam and shaved chocolate. One of our must visit places in our latest trip to NYC, since there's only a handful of these Reserve locations around the world and this is our second (first was in Seattle). Arrived when it just opened, so there was no line. It's three stories high with the bar on top, main floor for the main stuff like roastery, sampling etc., and restroom on bottom. Chairs and tables are available on all three floors and we decided to sit at the bar (since I wanted to try the martini) where we were able to bring our order from the main floor. Lots of merchandise to choose from and since it was Holidays, the place was decked out nicely. A couldn't decide which mug to take home since there were lots of choices. Picked a bag of beans (whiskey barrel) for my French press back home which they were sampling at the time - so good! Restrooms were kept up nicely and once it gets busy, there's an attendant that helps clear the lines. Expect the same for the main entrance during peak hours. Had the martini at 11am!! I figured when in NYC right? A few people were already at the bar area, so I didn't hesitate. It was really good! Also had some specialty drinks and pastry all before exploring Chelsea Market! I enjoyed visiting all three areas of this reserve. The main floor is large but somehow the floor space isn't adequately used as it seemed there was enough space for people or tables, but a lot of merch. I didn't order anything in the main floor as it always looked like a hot mess. I visited the cocktail bar and really liked the sangria flight. My partner ordered the espresso martini flight and liked it. They seemed to be out of certain ingredients for the martinis and it was unclear how to order. I enjoyed the restaurant part of the reserve area better. The service was top notch, the drinks tasty and the food was just ok. I did like that they have food items you wouldn't find at a regular Starbucks. We also took part in a tasting experience that we booked through open table. This location is right next door to my puppy's vet so stopped by to get a nitro cold brew which was about $7. It is pricey but it does come with a reusable cup. If it's your first Starbucks Reserve, recommend walking over to the Chelsea location for the full experience. The spill soaked the bottom of my bag and the starbucks staff was completely indifferent. My hands are red and sore and while this will heal today, I will not return to this location. If you go, be sure to ask for room in your coffee if you intend to take off the lid and drink from the cup. read more

The pumpkin spice espresso martini was really not worth trying in my opinion, the regular espresso martini was much better. Very crowded on the weekend, especially on a hot day. But still, it's not impossible to find a table with some seats. There is free wifi, and bathroom in the basement which is unisex with lots of stalls and open sink. Very spacious in here, but do keep in mind your order will take a bit to come out. But each drink is crafted one by one, so it makes sense that it takes some time. Also, most are specialty drinks you can only get from the Reserve! Last time I went, 85% of the songs playing were kpop??? Which was an interesting observation.. HIGHLY recommend: Knob Creek Bourbon Whiskey Barrel-Aged Guatemala. It is on the pricier side (I think the total was about $14) but it was honestly the BEST coffee I ever drank. Each sip was phenomenal. read more

A coffee lover's dream! One step inside and you feel like you are in Willy Wonka's "coffee" factory! I've been here once before for the coffee, but I went on Thursday to try the bar for the first time! It did not disappoint! My friend and I got espresso martinis and boy were they AMAZING! I think it was probabaly the best espresso martini I've ever had. The depth of flavor was incredible and you can't beat sipping your espresso martini at the Starbucks Reserve! We also got a drink that the bartender made us off the secret menu. It didn't have a name but it had mezcal in it. Really great room to sit in. Stylish and comfortable. Ok music. Not offensive. And they're very dog friendly so all good. But here's the thing. You come to a coffee shop for the coffee. Not the decor. And the coffee -- is extremely high priced : $7 for a cappuccino- which would kinda be ok, it is the west village after all, but the coffee should be exceptional. Or even, just really good. This coffee is standard Starbucks ordinary coffee. So I dunno. If you want a nice place to sit with mediocre expensive coffee this is the spot for you. I don't know what is up with Starbucks employee training these days but I was informed yet again that they didn't have any drinks on their menu that were gluten-free. Starbucks locations are supposed to have binders that share allergen information and they didn't even look. All you even really have to do is look online. There was a line waiting to get in, but it's worth checking out since it's a Reserve. We ordered an espresso flight, Peppermint Oatmilk Mocha, and Raspberry Cheesecake. For the espresso flight, you can choose your option of coffee. We just asked them to choose their favorites, since we were not sure which would be good. The Peppermint Oatmilk Mocha was pretty good and pepperminty. The Raspberry Cheesecake was also good and tasty. They also do sell cocktails and Starbucks Reserve cups. Went here last Saturday to take a practice GMAT exam (fun stuff, right?), but the Hazelnut Bianco Latte and Casarecce Pasta with Pesto definitely made it more enjoyable :) I still haven't tried the coffee ice cream floats but they're definitely still on my list. This was my first time actually sitting down at this location, as well as having food. There's a variety of seating options which is nice - tall tables, booth-like ones in the back corner, etc. etc., I sat along the window & was able to easily plug my computer in & do my thing for as long as I wanted. It got really busy around 3pm-ish & one word of caution if you're going around that time on a weekend: they only have one (!) restroom (the line was long my friend went somewhere else & bought food just to use the restroom lol). If you want to get a good seat & kinda camp out with your laptop the way I did on Saturday I recommend getting there by noon at least - then you're golden! Starbucks rocks, Starbucks Reserve double rocks. I've always been Starbucks fan (Seattle-native, so, ya know - comes with the territory) but I don't think I've ever *fully* appreciated the fact that they have free wifi & literally let you hang out as long as you want! There is a bar and restaurant upstairs that I enjoyed. The location is great and the exit was very festival decorated with a large Christmas tree for the holidays. The entrance is on the outside with its own entrance and not inside of the Empire State Building entrance. The small bite were okay. I enjoyed the pizza but not the cheese board.
