We've grown used to the heirloom beans, light fresh roasts, direct trade ethical deliciousness at our neighbourhood place in Montreal (call us hipsters! we accept this!) And so when we found the beans at 33 1/3 we were just so happy. Roasted within a few days, beautifully brewed, light and full of the complex flavour of the beans, and served by passionate if surly professionals. The surly is the only reason I deducted a star, there's no reason to provide less warmth and care than places with shittier product. This is an unnecessary feature of too many third wave coffee places. Or maybe it was just a bad day. Bonus - there's a super delicious and friendlier small brewer on site serving up some super freaking tasty local beer, and giving generous samples!!

After receiving an invitation from the owner to return (she assured me things had improved) I came back to try again. I'm pleased to say that this shop has definitely gotten better. When I walked in, the girls were immediately friendly in greeting me, and I found the shop to be a comfortable and inviting place to work. The menu is practically overflowing with drink options including specialty coffees and even a selection of beers and wines. The one downside to this shop is the prices. I'm willing to pay for a quality latte, but with this overwhelming number of options on the menu, the few cheap drinks (like a regular coffee) get totally lost. Thank you for the invitation to re-review. I have a great deal of respect for management that reaches out to it's yelpers.

You could argue this is part of the quirky feel of it though. The price is fair when you consider everything. Second time was a few weeks ago with a friend and I actually got a savoury dish for lunch and loooved it! I've been thinking about it ever since so I decided I had to go back and make a third trip just for it Just like last time, the Salmon Avocado was deeeelish! It originally comes with other veggies like alfalfa sprouts, grape tomatoes, shredded carrots and red onions - all veggies that I say ‍ to! So mine looks less compared to the regular As shown in pics, it's two layers of toast with smashed avocados on each and the top one has slices of salmon and for flavour, it's topped with everything but the bagel seasoning I absolutely love this dish and just always cravin' for it! I mean...it's an easy one to make but I don't like preparing raw salmon myself especially since it needs to be thin sliced so it's perfect anyway, overall, duh! My favourite item from here so far! I would have liked it even more if there were another layer of salmon in between the toasts since it's $11.99 buttttt I guess it would be worth it, had I not opt out of the veggies For the toast, I paired it with some refreshing Iced Strawberry Matcha Latté first time ordering this one; I took a quick glance at the menu and this one caught my eyes immediately. I love the layers of strawberry, milk, then matcha at top not sure if my picture does it justice but it felt like it took forever to finish drinking it! Definitely a good sized glass I'm not really into their other food items but they have such a vast variety of drinks that I definitely foresee myself going back to try out! They have two locations in Regina; one on Vic ave and one in Harbour Landing so I definitely recommend checking 'em out!
