For my first review during my trip to Paris, I feel it is time to get started with a positive review, for what I hope to be a positive trip, and I feel there is none other than this branch of Starbucks Coffee on Rue Saint Charles to be my first.
This is quite a nice branch of Starbucks, it is a decent size with a good range of merch, including a good number of Paris and France mugs and tumblers, which as a collector of these I was pleased to see.
The staff here seemed nice, there was someone out on the door, probably on the break, but when I walked in, I was quite surprised to see an interesting, cool range of food very different to what is in branches I have seen before in the UK.
On a more negative point, the menu seemed to only have one board and not be full, specialist in the new iced teas, which I find to be disgusting, so this was a shame. I was also upset that I was unable to use or sign up to a Starbucks card, as despite having one in the UK, this was only for French people who live in France, I would love to see a worldwide or more accessible card offered for Starbucks regulars, like myself.
I ordered a Starbucks Cold Brew with Vanilla syrup, normally in the UK I would pay about £3 but here it cost 4.85 euros, which was an increase of £1.10, with the vanilla syrup which I normally get for free, as a gold level member adding 60 cents to my bill.
The staff here did seem nice and speak decent english.
Inside the store, it was a great place to enjoy a coffee and relax with some nice decor, and a very basic, albeit not very nice disabled toilet and baby changing room, but still this visit sure sets my Paris trip off to a bang, and helps set a good example for how Starbucks' should behave in terms of service, quality and selection so I am pleased to give this branch four stars. read more
