This is by far the smallest Starbucks in Newcastle, but that is not a bad thing. It is never busy, which is amazing for a Starbucks. And not many people seem to know about it, also amazing for Starbucks.
In terms of seating, there is a high counter in the middle with 4 seats, and a long bench on either side. Even though it is small, it is decorated nicely and is very cosy. The staff who work here are very polite and never seem rushed because of how quiet it always is.
The only downside of this place, is since it is such a small store, they don't get delivered all of the syrups and powders needed to create drinks like the Shaken Iced Teas which is a bit of a bummer, as this range is my favourite.
The toilets are in the lobby of the Malmaison and are decorated very art-deco style with huge mirrors and old fashioned taps.
Apart from the issue of it being badly stocked, it provides a nice escape from the busy Quayside. And there are even a few tables outside if you want to do some people watching and catch some rays. read more
