The parking lot is a little small so it's kinda hard to get into it, but it's manageable. This is my favorite location because it's right by my house and the workers know me by name and remember my order, so it always puts a smile on my face to know how memorable they are. It shows they really pay attention to their customers. The cashiers are always super sweet and ready to answer any questions and to make suggestions about the menu. They offer free wifi so if you're a student like myself, this is a cool place to go and study and just relax while reviewing school material. Starbuck's has always represented a great product, yet I really believe that the true strength of their brand may be in its employees. I was traveling through Lubbock this week and had a really, really bad day. When I stepped in this store, not only was I treated with respect- I was listened to, and seemingly appreciated. I tried the Starbuck's double-shot for the second time ever, and the manager and Shannon made sure that they made it just right. I've actually never seen that before, and I sincerely appreciated their care and attention to detail in getting my order to me in a customized way. And plus, Shannon the barista really hooked me up today! When I return to Lubbock, I will certainly return to this Starbuck's location and this location alone. read more

Earlier today, I attempted to make a large purchase using only the stars I collected through the rewards program. The service I received from the barista at the drive through window was rude and unprofessional. I asked to use my stars to pay for my order instead of using cash and she scanned my phone. The barista gave me no indication that my request was not possible. She then stated that I still owed $0.89. This didn't make any sense because she had not asked for payment, which I believed was not required regardless because I was paying with stars. Confused, I asked her again if she had used my stars. She snapped at me, stating that she had but that I still owed $0.89. Again, I had not been asked for payment, so this did not make sense. I asked in a normal tone for her to explain. In response, she snidely commented that the stars are only redeemable for one item per purchase. I have always been able to use all of my stars for my whole order, so I did not realize this would be an issue. I then paid the $0.89 I owed and the barista quipped "here's your change" and immediately left the window without saying anything else to me. I did not want to use the money on my card. But, while it was frustrating that I had to use that money, what was more frustrating was the attitude I received from the barista. I've worked in multiple service positions. I am well aware of how difficult dealing with irate customers can be. I was not a rude customer. It is not only unacceptable to speak to a customer in a rude tone when they are asking for clarification but also unacceptable to walk away from a customer when they are speaking to you. I am a frequent, repeat customer of this location and have always received excellent service. I am extremely disappointed with what appears to be a new hire. If she is not a new hire, she certainly acts like one. read more

This one is always slammed...no matter when you go...you will wait 10 min. Drive Thru open 24-7! Park in open lot or you get pinned in by the drive thru trying to exit...if you are ordering something calorie loaded...it is in your best interest anyhow. read more

I had previously enjoyed coming here, despite the far location from my place. Though this Starbucks is not the cleanest I've been to, and the drive-thru is always ridiculously packed, it's one of the more spacious ones. What got me annoyed is how one time as I just got my order and was sitting down at a table with my coffee, I couldn't help but hear one of the coffee baristas was discussing with another barista (very openly), how "all Asians prefer to be called Chinks than Orientals." WOW. Just wow. What got me even more disturbed is how the baristas were staring at me while discussing it. Another table next to me gave me an awkward smile as they heard this barista discussion as well. First off, we (yes, I'm Asian), prefer to be called "Asians/Asian-Americans", secondly, what decade are we in? None of us want to be called "Chinks" NOR "Orientals". Born and having lived in California 24 years where it's much more culturally diverse, hearing this being discussed in a BUSINESS by its EMPLOYEES is so frustrating. I have been several times and the coffee always tastes like it has been burned. Also the other drinks I have gotten have never been right.

Have always had excellent coffee here but the morning of the 22nd the coffee tasted bad. Let my husband drink some just to see if he could tell it was bad and after one drink he threw up. Smelled like poop. Tasted horrific. It was almost like the sewer had backed up and somehow got in the system. I know that's probably impossible but the latte was disgusting. I love Starbucks, lived in multiple cities and always loved my vanilla lattes but here they suck. None the less I figured out how to order it where it didn't taste like crap in this tiny town. But today was the last straw! My sister in law and I both went there this morning, soon after drinking our lattes we were both stricken with horrible stomach pains. We got worse quick and went to urgent care, we both got food poisoning from our freakn lattes! We are both very sick and hurting, but no point in telling them because they won't care. read more

My wife and I stopped at this starbucks yesterday morning and received the worst service we have ever received at a starbucks! we ordered two coffees and a sandwitch, the coffees came one at a time and we had to go back to the counter to request the sandwitch a second time as they had forgotten it. When we did get the sandwitch we had to go back to the counter again to get it cut in half, we began to eat the sandwitch and it was COLD in the center. I observed 6 people working behind the counter and they all seemed more interested in socializing with each other than the job they were suppose to be doing, with 6 people behind the counter one would think they would have a flow that would insure the customers order was fully filled and made correctly with out delay. In reality what I observed yesterday is this starbucks is only a social hangout for the employees and the customer is a mild inconvenience they have to put up with. read more
