There are many branches of Starbucks in the city centre of Cardiff, this one is probably the closest to my hotel, fairly close to a Barclays bank, as well as the huge St David' mall in Cardiff, this is quite a large branch on The Hayes.
In a way, this branch stays away from traditional decor you would associate with Starbucks, one of the world's most well known coffee chains, as you can see from the photos I have uploaded, this store is basically a rectangle, it goes down for a while but it isn't really wide, in layman's terms.
The staff here seemed nice enough, I decided to go for something different today, being a regular at Starbucks, I decided to try a Grande Americano with Vanilla syrup, I was slightly frustrated that they would refuse to make it with milk, and rather ask me to do it myself, however I did do this, however it would have been easier for me and saved me the job, if they didn't just save room for milk.
This isn't the nicest places to sit in sadly, it just felt quiet and like a Starbucks on Mars in a way, it just didn't feel like a Starbucks, even though it was, and it did seem quite quiet as well considering it is in such a central location in Cardiff, the capital of Wales.
The staff did seem nice enough in some ways, they didn't mind putting my orders through seperatly so I would get two stars.
The drinks just seemed average, they didn't look mouthwatering or really nice themselves, which was a shame, they did have a nice range of merch and some parts of this store were nice, albeit more interesting however sadly due to the look and presentation of the store and especially beverages served, I sadly feel this branch only deserves two stars. read more
