The service was super quick, and the best part? They didn't pack the cup with ice like some places do. My drink was full, flavorful, and exactly how I wanted it. Starbucks franchise located off Bardstown road in the fern creek neighborhood of Lousiville Kentucky. The announcement and opening of This Starbucks was celebrated among fern creek locals as for whatever reason a Starbucks has not arrived in fern creek or it's surrounding communities of okolona, highview or hillview yet. Their really wasn't a Starbucks stand alone location close to those areas. So people were excited. The Starbucks location is really sleek and has a nice setup. Inside is spacious but with limited seating options. The service on my trip here was fast and top notch. By now most people know whether they like Starbucks or not. I'm indifferent. I'm not a massive coffee guy but my daughters are and they love Starbucks. I usually stick with a hot chocolate or the Mocha cookie crumble. So more dessert than coffee. Food wise I enjoy there pastries and usually get the blueberry scone or chocolate croissant. I've also dabbled in the breakfast sandwiches but they aren't my first option. The kids and wife sample the coffee flavors and food menu more than me. Cake pops is really popular with my younger kids. And they do have some cute seasonal ones from time to time. Overall it's great to finally have a Starbucks option in this portion of town. Whether I'm a huge fan or not it's still good to have that option. I am extremely confident This location will do well and maintain decent to large crowds. If they continue having good and quick service I fell they will excel. Welcome to neighborhood Starbucks. I love ordering their dragon drink with peach juice and vanilla syrup and their coffee cakes. Everytime I get it, it tastes so good and I always come back for more. So far, they've NEVER messed up any of our orders or were rude to us. The atmosphere is so nice and everyone there seems so friendly and welcoming! So... it's a little off here. I suspect the employees are still trying to find their grove and getting to know each other and learning to work together in the same shared space. I ordered my usual which was a venti decaf oat milk latte and went inside rather than the drive through - no one said hi as I walked in - which I am used to at other Starbucks and it took a little while for someone to take my order though there was no one in line. The baristas working didn't communicate with each other unless they had to to figure out an order or verify someone's order was already completed. They just all looked pretty unhappy or uncomfortable, I could not tell which. My order took a little longer than usual which was fine as I was in no hurry. My order was right and the taste was perfect and also the perfect temperature. So no complaints. I'm going to go back next time I'm home and I will most definitely change my review if the atmosphere is different. read more

We came in here for my daughter's birthday and we got her a pink strawberry some kind of drink and two birthday pops. They were all way too sweet for me but that's not a diss on the review because I don't like a lot of sweet things. my daughter didn't really like her drink too much and the cake pops were definitely overpriced. Long wait for a plain black coffee---- OVER 30 mins inside! Cold drinks were flying out without an issue. Finally wet to pick up from the counter and she didn't put the lid on. I was doused with extremely hot coffee and in front of about 50 people who were also waiting. It took them another 10 mins to replace my coffee. Will never walk through the doors of this one ever!! You got your Union now it's up to you to keep up the standards. read more

The developers at this location must be a bit dense. Traffic is always at a dead stop. Never any room for cars to maneuver. I don't believe I've ever been here for less than 15 minutes in the drive through. I hope someone also teaches the staff how to make coffee one day. I know two year olds that can make a better drink than what this store produces. It doesn't make sense to me. Wait 15+ minutes, get a terrible tasting drink. Hopefully they work out the kinks. EDIT Finally made it to the window to get my drinks this morning after an hour long wait (I REALLY wish I was exaggerating), only to be told they cannot accept card. Cash or app only. Just a really fun experience. If you have a morning to sit in a drive through waiting on coffee only to never get it, please visit this Starbucks! read more

The music was way too loud ! I could barley hear the employees, also the lady at the cashier acted like she didn't know what I was asking for very simple pink drink no ice 7 pumps of vanilla? She was very rude and acted like it was problem with me adding and changing things about my drinks. The place wasn't very clean either. Not my first time visiting this starbucks but wanted to make a review. I absolutely love how this store is not even 5 minutes from me so now i don't have to drive to my store that's 20 minutes away whenever i want a drink. The experience i had this time through the drive thru has shown that they're more comfortable and have grown out of the "new store" label. i went around 2pm and ordered 1 drink. I didn't get the persons name in drive but they were super nice and complimented my shirt. I ordered an iced matcha latte with some modifications and it was pERFECT!! it sounds cliche but as a barista myself, it really means a lot when having a great customer interaction and a tasty drink (especially when other stores don't know how to make drinks with consistency loll) keep it going y'all!! read more

Ordered a hot shaken espresso & was told that couldn't be done but they'd make a latte & I told them that I had it made at multiple different stores multiple times-- well, it didn't taste like anything except oat milk, so I went in to see if something could be done to make it taste like something other than a $5 grande cup of steamed oat milk. The manager, Will, was very rude and sarcastic, remade a new drink with less than 2 inches of coffee at the bottom of a tall cup. When he made it he slammed it down in front of me and said "I don't know if that's right, but there you go." I love Starbucks. I have NEVER asked any location to remake a drink in my life, and this was the first time & it was an awful experience. read more

Why do the drinks never look like the photos? I was so excited about a new Starbucks location. We got our drinks after waiting over 20 mins and mine was only a little over half full with no whip or drizzle. My friends iced drinks was not blended well and was melting. Decided to retry Fern Creek Starbucks today, had a horrible experience 6 to 8 months ago. Ordered drinks via the app and picked them up at the time the app told me they would be ready. The employees were working hard to deliver the orders this AM...there seemed to be a lot with many in the store and many in the drive thru. Nice to see things change for the better. read more

Went this morning to get a quick drink before work like I have some other days. Their hours said open at 530. I was there at 615. There were two other cars in front of me at the drive-thru, both ended up driving away. Once I drove up to order, I realized that no one was answering. So I drove around to the window to see if maybe the speaker was broken. There were two workers in there and one of them was making a drink, but had no customers, so making the assumption it was for themself. She looked at me for about 15 seconds, and I mouthed if they were open through the closed window since she would just stare at me and not actually come to the window. She then had a half smile said something to her friend that was also working, and putting money in the drawer at the time and walk to the other side of the building, so she could no longer be seen at the window. Terrible customer service. She never said anything back, never came to the window, and they both giggled together. It would've just been easier to let me know you weren't ready to open or you would be opening late rather than stare at me through the window, ignore me, then walk away, smiling and giggling. Sad to see customers treated like this when you are opening 45 minutes late. I hate even writing this review because the last time or so I've had a great experience but after this morning, I got a bad taste in my mouth from some of the workers. read more

Brand new Starbucks but already the worst in the city. Excessively long wait times. No parking. Drive-thru backs up to the point you're fighting traffic to get out while others are trying to get in. When the online ordering actually works, I can order from my house, wait 15 minutes, make the 5bmin drive to the store and still have to wait inside after finally finding a place to park for my order. It's absolutely frustrating to get a coffee from here. It doesn't matter what time of day either. read more
