This Starbucks is great location-wise for me. I'm not gonna write about the coffee cause that's the same in almost every branch. Instead I will write about the staff, the flair and the ambiente.
Located opposite Tavisock Square, this Starbucks is a regular for students from University College London and local offices. It actually has a direct entrance for the next-door office. The staff is friendly and quick - when something goes wrong (aka varying order milk etc.) they'll fix it. Also, it is one of only a few central London Starbucks that still give you proper cups instead of paper cups when you stay in.
The store is almost always quite busy. You will always get a seat but maybe not so if you're coming in a group. The free Wi-fi obviously contributes to customers staying longer hours. And that includes me. There are also enough plugs to make all laptop users happy.
Despite being busy, it is not too noisy. Ok, I had someone making phone calls all the time next to me yesterday but this behaviour is quite rare.
Overall, a good Starbucks if you are around the area. There is another one in the Brunswick shipping centre and on Tottenham Court Road. Just one thing I would suggest is trying to clean the toilets more often. They're not really dirty but have a bit of a smell about them ... read more
