Because I can never remember the terms the baristas use for sizes I asked for a large pumpkin spiced latte. The barista was not paying attention at all and asked what size I wanted. I'm kind of snarky tone I said large. I also asked for pumpkin loaf and pumpkin muffin. Instead of bringing me both at the same time she put the pumpkin muffin in a bag brought it to me and then went back and got the loaf. She seemed to have a bad attitude towards me and seemed to not want to help me. Normally the baristas are very friendly and can't wait to help but she seemed to not want to help me. I could go to another restaurant across the road to a totally different chain for my coffee but the service there is nasty. I like coming to Starbucks because it is convenient and there is a great atmosphere but after this morning I think I will go elsewhere for my coffee fix. If I could give one star I would read more

Came here on two consecutive days as I was in Kamloops for the weekend and the training for staff at this place just makes me confused. Generally, Starbucks is starbucks in terms of it's drinks. I've been to many starbuck locations and the drinks are consistent but on the first day, we ordered a Iced Green Tea Latte and the service was fine as per usual but when the drink of given to us, you could see the whole clump of green tea powder at the top of the cup. The drink looked as if the green tea powder was forgotten and just added in at the very end and being the "we'll let it slide this once" customers, we let it slide however the drink itself was quite difficult to mix as it was cold and the straw could only help blend the drink so much. We came here again on day two that weekend because this location was the closest Starbucks to where we were staying. A friend and I both ordered cold lemonades and the guy who was finishing our drinks did not put lids on either of our drinks. When my name was called and I went to fetch the drink (because my friend got her order before me and the lid was also missing), I cued him about my lid and he responded back to me by asking "What lid?" in which he immediately turned over to another staff member to ask them if the drink comes with a lid. The other employee looked at my cup on the counter and pointed to cold cup lids that were right in front of the barista. He then placed the lid onto my drink but only half of the lid was snapped on. I made an effort to remain at the counter and snap the rest of my lid on for him to see that he needed to snap them on properly. I usually do not review Starbucks as it is a big chain and I would probably end up with a lot of reviews at various locations but overall, it was under par. Would definitely not go to this place again if I were in the area, we even ended up chatting with a few locals while we were waiting for our drinks and they kept pressing us to get our drinks returned so it could be done properly.... read more

One of the best locations in Kamloops by far but my only negative note is the parking lot has gigantic speed bumps so lowered cars beware!!! The drive through is super quick when you order no matter how long the line is and the outdoor patio is nice and open with ample seating. read more

Just a wee update on how awesome this location is: In december 2013, I came to Kamloops because my Dad was critically ill and had been hospitalized. When he stabilized, the hospital staff sent us home to sleep for a few hours. On the way back to the hospital the morning after we went through the drive-thru for our caffeine fix. The voice that came over the intercom was very friendly, and asked how we were, to which I replied 'okay,' to which She replied 'only okay?' and I explained that my Dad was very ill, and that it had been a tough go for us. Anywho, when we got to the window to pick up our orders, we were told that the drinks were on the house - because she wanted to make our day. It honestly was so thoughtful and touching that it made both my Mom and I cry. I think the girls name was Kaylee, or Kayla, or something along those lines. Anywho, she really did make our day, and made a big difference in helping us keep positive. Huge shout-out to this starbucks and their employees for being the best!! One of very few restaurants open on Christmas day, this location provided quick and efficient service given the long lines. Alas they were out of some of their sandwich options, but given the crowds this did not surprise me. There is ample parking in the area and the seating area in the restaurant is kept clean and bright. read more
