Customers standing at your counter always come first. Train later. Then the new person tried to take my order but could t find the tea and needed help. Crazy long drive thru lines at almost all times. The parking lot is awful in that if you park, you will not be able to get out if anyone is in the line. You're stuck! I imagine you'd be stuck for a very long time seeing as how there are 10+ cars in line. Inside is fine, people are kind of nice. Go to Bodacious Brew instead. Trust me. read more

After standing waiting for my daughters frappes for over 20 minutes after watching the line grow then empty grow then empty I simply asked for my money back for my drinks. The counter girl gave me an attitude and said what drinks. I said the ones I ordered over 20 minutes ago. She tried to start making them and I had to ask for my money back again. Let me start off by saying that I love Starbucks. Deeply. This is just not a great location and a big part of that has to do with their parking lot/drive thru. They share a building with IHOP and they have an incredibly small, narrow parking lot. That is to say, if you park there and there is more than 3 cars in line at the drive thru, there's no guarantee you'll be able to get out of your parking space anytime soon. During busy times *Saturday afternoons *ALL DAY Sunday, there is a line in the drive thru which you cannot get out of once you are in it. There is no passing lane, you're trapped there. Once I was 20 minutes late to meet a friend because I was stuck in this drive thru and couldn't get out even though my patience ran out after minute 15. With that being said, on a weeknight, this is a nice, quiet place to study/work/hangout. However, it may take a while to get service. Once I stood there for like 10 minutes and no one helped me, but once they realized that they gave me a free cake pop which was nice. read more

Solid 4 stars for the Mermaid i used to visit every day on my way to work. Nice - i mean really nice remodel job Janesville! i dont see you as often but you are looking good - glad there's plenty of space now to lounge with friends - how did you fit those extra tables in? Wood and new bar are very cool - glad they are investing in this and other locations. Considering that this is the only Starbucks in Janesville outside if Tarbucks, you would think Starbucks might consider opening another location and actually pay their employees so they show up to work. This Starbucks sucks. It has been getting worse over time. The coffee is terrible. I do not go there anymore. Don t think new employees are being properly trained. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The footprint of this store on the smaller side and the small size of the parking lot makes it difficult to maneuver. I love Starbucks, but I do not love this location. We were literally driving cross-country and made frequent coffee stops to keep us going. When my husband and I approached the counter for coffee refills, the barista gave us a hard time about the refill policy. I find this ridiculous, as we are gold card holders and a tall coffee refill cost Starbucks absolutely nothing, not to mention the waste thrown out every 30 minutes when it's time to brew fresh coffee. The gold card proves we have spent a lot of money at Starbucks, and as a loyal customer, I do not appreciate this. And really, what does it matter if I visit a second Starbucks in the same day? I love me my Starbucks but i think this one ranks as one of my favorites. The bf and I spent a week in Janesville on account that bf's family is there.. we went to this Starbucks location every morning during that week to get some studying in for a big exam that was coming up. The baristas took notice by the second morning and were super friendly and check in with us when we took breaks. It was so nice to see genuinely friendly faces each morning and cool to feel like a regular in a such a short amount of time. One thing I would suggest (if you're sensitive to temperature changes) is bringing a light jacket as it can get pretty chilly. read more

I stop here every time i make the trek from mid IL to northern WI... - take exit 171C off 39... turn left at the Mobile station... it shares a building with IHOP - drive past it to get into the parking lot... its TINY so good luck - but the staff is quick and friendly and has never gotten my order wrong - the bathroom is always clean Watch out getting back on 39... the ramps have lots of potholes! read more

For the prime location of this Starbucks, being right off the interstate and with several popular businesses surrounding it they seriously need to up their game! Had to post just because this is the worst service I've ever had in a Starbucks location. Waited in the drive-thru for 25 min. and finally got to window just to receive the wrong drink. Went inside and told the person working the register and explained the situation and just asked for my money back all this transpired with no apologies and she just proceeded to try to refund my money until someone else had to step in and process the refund. Never will go to this location again. Very disappointing, considering I've never had this kind of experience in a Starbucks before. read more

This Starbucks is pretty. PRETTY small. There's only 6 people in line and it's crowded, the place is average. Not dirty nor clean. Just plain and average; the workers though--really friendly, they have 4workers, 4 for a small area? Ermm? They seem crowded too. The drinks were on target, quickly and accurately. Bathrooms didn't have toilet paper, only fault. The place is a bit dark, seems like you need lights all the time or curtains at full open; location is next to iHop. I love Starbucks, but at this location, I suppose with their constant new hires, it's hard to have the same consistency of soy lattes. I only go back because there's nowhere else to choose from and the majority of staff are so nice, fun, and courteous. Also, how can you not go back to redeem your free drinks as a Gold Member! I've only had 2 occasions where the employee were unprofessional. But, I don't think they work there anymore. It would also help if they improved the drive thru area, the lot is too small for all the traffic it gets. Especially when IHOP is next door. Don't plan on a quick drive through on early morning weekdays, lunch hour or during holidays. read more
