We both had the yogurt parfait which was vanilla yogurt with a generous serving of blueberries and strawberries. My husband had the ham, egg and cheese sandwich, he said it was great especially the ciabatta bread. Great little coffee shop I would stop at again when I am in the area.

There is a door to the building and to your right there is their main entrance to the coffee shop. Watch your step UP into the café. Music is contemporary and not too loud. Vintage decor. Standup Piano. Cozy seating arrangements of 2 to 8 seats throughout. Storefront window to gaze at the bustling traffic and pedestrians. Offerings. Standard coffee shop menu and interesting pastries, interesting cheesecakes, biscotti, and cookies. We got mocha and salted caramel latte. Very good. Fun latte art. Oatmeal cookie was chewy, spicy, and comforting. Happy to see lunch items on menu. Pics say more. Hospitality. Friendly and accommodating baristas. Bussed our dishes since it was almost closing. Of Note and Last Impressions. Lovely loos; clean and stocked. The temp of the café was a bit too cold for our preference. But overall, good place to just enjoy a cafe drink with friends.

The coffee is delicious, the biscuits fluffy, and the souffle cheesy. The garden center is whimsical with numerous little vignettes and photo opps. The workers were friendly and helped us take some group photos. We met the owner as well who is a lovely lady who told us their family history and story of how the coffee shop came to be. Worth the stop!

While me and the wife were there, we sent a few pics to the family group chat, and within 15 minutes both kids showed up!! The place is that cool! Drink some coffee, buy some plants, buy some other flower pots, get some food, check out of food trucks on certain days. How's the coffee? Damned good. I grabbed a latte with some agave syrup. It may not sound intrinsically delicious, but I liked it! My wife liked her layered coffee drink flavored with lavender...I liked hers too. I'm not sure what the kids bought, but they liked their drinks too. Win x 4. Both kids ate there too. See the pics. The staff and the owners were extremely friendly...almost too friendly. I wonder what they're up to. JK. Service was great. The only thing that this place is missing, I repeat the ONLY thing that this place is missing is a couch and coffee table type area... ...throw a couple of patio couches in here and it would be 100% perfect. Instead, I'm only able to give QB&H 4.9 stars.

After a 3 hour drive, it was the perfect place to recharge before getting back on the road. It's what a coffee shop should be. Warm and cozy environment. The staff is very friendly. I had an iced honeybee latte and lemon lavender scone. Both very good. A nice balanced coffee beverage - good flavor and not too sweet. If you have time take the short walk to Riverside Park. Great view of the Maumee River. Lots of comfortable places to sit.

They roast their own coffee beans and have them on display for purchase just under the cash register. Most of the bags I looked at, beans had been roasted in the last week so they are fresh! I love that they make their syrups in house to give the coffee better flavor. I originally wanted a Lavender latte but they were out of the syrup. I pivoted to the Salted Caramel Latte. The beans had a good medium roast flavor to them, syrup flavor was subtle but present, but my drink could have been hotter. My husband got a Masala Chai Latte. We noticed his drink was made from a chai concentrate bought; it overall was ok. I recommend staff labeling drink cups going forward as they couldn't remember which was which after placing on the counter. Either way, this was a great coffee shop stop and offers some great seasonal options.

So this place is right up my alley. Dragon's Roost has been around for years. It used to be in Sylvania, then Holland. Now it's in West Toledo, on Sylvania Avenue, just east of Pa Jolly's and just west of the Chessie Circle Trail crossing. This is by far the best spot. THIS is EXACTLY where a place like this belongs. Atmosphere: Two-story building. Upstairs is gaming tables and the like. Downstairs is the café plus games, miniatures, and books for sale. Coffee: Damned good, and the menu is huge. Personally I like the Dark Lord and the Dragon's Breath. Both are mocha-style drinks flavored with hot peppers (ghost and cayenne). D'sR also serves breakfast, cookies, pastries, hotdogs and so on. I haven't eaten here yet. Staff: Friendly and accommodating. Hours: Longer than what's listed on Yelp or the website (in fact, the site doesn't look like it's been updated in about a year). During the week they actually open at 7 a.m. every day, including Monday, and close at 10 p.m. Weekend hours are a little different. So if you're a closet geek, like me, this place is for you. You can can go in, ostensibly for the coffee, but soak up the nerditude while you're there. But if you don't wanna blow your cover, make sure you do so after a heavy leg day at Super Fitness. 5 stars!!
