Getting breakfast here was a moment where you have to make the decision to feel stuffed for 24 hours just because not finishing your meal feels like a crime. Unfortunately it didn't make it out of the parking lot so I didn't get a photo. I'm lucky I got a bite because it was Delicious! The pastry was fresh, the strawberry icing was perfect and not too sweet and the filling was just right. We also went for a fresh croissant, a stuffed oatmeal cookie and a chocolate chip cookie to take with us. All so good. The oatmeal cookie was saved for the next day and pro tip, I opened it up- scraped off the icing added a marshmallow and toasted in the oven - added back the icing to the other side, smash back together and it was bonkers good. The line was long but went quickly so don't let that deter you from stopping. Sweet Al, until we meet again I will be dreaming of all your sweet treats. Now everyone go Treat Yo Self to something delicious from Sweet Al's. Love~ jane

This location is a block away from the heart of Coligny. Every morning after our beach walk, we'd head her for a coffee. We got there early enough where there was never really a line. We wound up always ordering an iced sand dollar latte with almond milk and light whip. I'd also order a hot sand dollar for my husband. The staff was pretty friendly. I will say, when there was a line, one barista didn't seem like nearly enough. The line would get pretty long and took longer to get your coffee. I love the Sand Dollar latte. It's a combo between honey and cinnamon. We'll be back!

We visited Watusi on Saturday and had a great experience with friendly staff, so we decided to…read morereturn on Sunday to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, the second visit was a completely different experience. After a 40-minute wait, we received a text saying our table was ready. We went inside and waited behind other guests in the designated "your table is ready" area for over five minutes, only for the owner to tell us she had given our table away. She then proceeded to clear another table while we continued to wait. There were several open tables, including the booth we had sat in the day before. I mentioned that it was our anniversary and asked if we could sit there. The owner told us no because it was reserved for a larger party. However, throughout our entire meal and until we left, no one ever sat at that booth or any of the other open tables. To make matters worse, another party of four later asked to move to that exact booth and was allowed to sit there. We also ordered specialty coffee drinks that were quite expensive, but they didn't arrive until after our food was served. Then, while eating, I bit into the seed that had been left in the avocado. It was especially disappointing because our first visit had been so positive. We chose to come back to celebrate a special occasion, but the poor communication, inconsistent treatment of guests, and issues with the food and service left us frustrated. Unfortunately, what started as a great first impression turned into a disappointing anniversary experience. We expected much better, especially from the owner.

We had the mochi donuts (strawberry, cookies and cream, and sugar) which were baked wonderfully and full of flavor. We also had the strawberry cream cake, almond croissant, supreme chocolate croissant, berry tart, blueberry danish, caramel apple pie, choux cream bread, and sticky milk buns. The breads were okay - tasty but nothing too special. The other pastries though, particularly the croissants, were fantastic. Delicate with a crunchy outside and soft, flaky inside. We also liked the coffee! My mom said the vanilla oat milk latte was the best she's ever had and I really liked the pumpkin sweet cream cold foam. We will be back next time we're in Hilton Head!

The texture and consistency of the ice cream were exactly what you want... thick, creamy, rich, and delicious. No icy shortcuts. No weird graininess. Just top-tier ice cream. I went with a chocolate-dipped cone, and it was the stuff dreams are made of. That crack of the chocolate shell followed by creamy ice cream underneath? Pure happiness. The only odd thing was that they charge a little extra for paying with a credit card, which feels a bit strange in 2026. But honestly? After tasting the ice cream, I'd probably pay the fee, a convenience charge, a processing charge, and a modest ice cream tax just to get my hands on another double scoop.

The patio was pleasant, the weather was perfect, and enjoying a cup of coffee outdoors made for a relaxing start to the day. Unfortunately, the food and service didn't quite live up to the atmosphere. When we were seated, the hostess commented that the server "wasn't going to be happy" about where she put us, which felt like an odd thing for guests to hear. We ended up with a different server, and the service never really improved from there. My husband ordered a coffee, and I ordered a latte. When the server returned, she brought two coffees and explained that the latte machine wasn't clean and assumed I wouldn't want to wait. That struck me as strange for a breakfast restaurant. Was the machine simply not cleaned yet, or had it not been cleaned at all? Either way, it seemed odd that a latte wasn't available during breakfast service without even giving me the option to wait. The coffee itself was perfectly fine. For food, my husband had the Kitchen Sink breakfast, which he thought was decent enough. I ordered an egg and sausage sandwich on a croissant. If you're expecting a flaky, buttery croissant, don't. What arrived looked more like a large dinner roll with decorative rings pressed into the top. The egg was also a large scrambled patty rather than a freshly cooked egg, which was disappointing and not what I expected from the menu description. Like many restaurants, they serve imitation maple syrup and charge extra for real maple syrup. While offering real maple syrup as an upgrade is understandable, the additional charge felt a bit ridiculous given the overall prices. Combined with the processed-style breakfast sandwich, the menu felt more like a chain restaurant than the locally owned spot it presents itself as being. After reading other reviews that called it a tourist trap, I can see where those opinions come from. Based on this visit, we didn't find anything that would bring us back. To be fair, we only tried breakfast and perhaps a broader sampling of the menu would change my mind, but based on this experience, I doubt we'll be returning. The outdoor seating and beautiful fall weather were wonderful, but the food and service simply didn't match the setting. Overall, not a terrible experience, just not one we'd repeat.
