Starbucks - Trash??? - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Gun Barrel City, Texas

I'm not sure what is going on, but this is the 2nd Starbucks I have been to in the area and to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The cashier was not friendly; nor any employee except the manager (I assume) and he said hi when we walked in. All of the tables were dirty and even around the counter. The restroom was dirty too. The barista didn't call out our name?? We just had to see it there. Our name was on the tag. I guess I won't be going to Starbucks around our area. read more

Horrible service. Store opens at 6a, I placed a mobile order for pickup. 6:10 waited in drive thru with no answer for 5 mins. Parked and went to the door to find it locked and the staff saw and intentionally ignored me for 5 more until someone opened the door and immediately said - we open late, it's going to be a while. All I ordered was a coffee and had to wait for them to brew it, 5 more minutes. Staff is incompetent & rude. read more

Exceptional company. Great employees. Never a bad experience at any location. Even one employee,Kayla, in the Kaufman TX location suggested a coffee for me than I really liked better than the latte I started to order. And they don't discriminate when they hire employees! Win win! read more

Terrible service. When I go in to pick up an order there may be 5 employees working but I have to yell "hey, hey can you help me" and they finally reluctantly help. read more

Bottom line: mediocre cafe amongst few other options in Gun Barrel city -- slow service and slow WiFi -- okay coffee. Pros: - location - cleanliness - free WiFi (but slow) - not too busy inside, plenty of seating - plugs for laptop Cons: - very slow WiFi (less than 1 mbps) - unmotivated employee(s) - slow service and forgotten orders We came here on a random trip to Mabank looking for decent WiFi. Other cafes looked dicey so we went for the standard issue Starbucks offering. Walking in, the facilities appeared very clean and new. There was sufficient space to sit and relax. And a few plugs for laptops as well. We put in a simple order to the barista which was a latte and hot tea. They delivered the latte in about 5-6 minutes but completely forgot about the tea. No apologies or anything. We had to harangue the baristas TWICE to get the order finally completed. I would not recommend this place unless there were absolutely no other options. read more

I am from Dallas but live on Cedar Creek Lake now so was excited to have a SB here. Hate to leave a negative review but Corporate needs to swoop in and Super Train these employees. They were very nice but at same time "Lights were on but nobody home" I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte and they had to look up the recipe. Very slow and my drink was a Grande when I ordered a Venti. I do hope this location will train on speed and excellence, sure will be nice to have a Starbucks but only if it's consistent with other locations. On a positive note, they were very nice and the store is big and clean. Will wait a month and give a second chance. When it comes to a Starbucks expectations are Higher Went back a second time, I think this will be a fantastic Location as they are under the learning curve. Really nice helpful employees, I can see myself hanging out there more in the future. read more

I love Starbucks! I also love coffee love (the coffee shop in the same shopping center)! Coffee love has better sandwiches than Starbucks, but coffee loves drink are too sweet for me! I will not be giving this Starbucks my business anymore. I walked to the store with my phone and only had my rewards on my phone to pay. I have never had a problem paying in the app and even used it yesterday at this location. The app kept saying "something went wrong on our end" when I pressed scan in store and would not allow me to pay. You would think that Starbucks would be kind an just offer you a free coffee (like many other locations do) after trying to get the app to work for 10 minutes but the store refused to serve me a coffee and I walked out empty handed. Very poor service. read more

Always correct. I get unusual non menu craft coffees. They always know what I want and make them correct. One thing is a little confusing though. When I get an undertow ( espresso with cream ) its never the same price... In Dallas its consistently $3.40. At this location its never the same... I am not sure if its just they don't know how to rung it up or maybe its priced differently the 20 plus times a month I go here. Not sure. Still always made correct. read more

If you want to come here to work online while enjoying a coffee beverage, don't! The internet here is HORRIBLE!! I've been here three times. The first wasn't too bad, but slow. The second time I couldn't even log on. I tried for almost two hours. Finally gave up and left. This time isn't much better. It takes up to a minute to download the homepage of YouTube. Not even watch a video... just open the website. It's useless. The store is nice. The staff are friendly enough, but if I can't work online what is the point of paying for expensive coffee drinks? This will date me, but the internet speed here is slower than DSL or maybe even dial up!! 1.4 mbps download and 1mbps upload. My cell phone has faster speed! The last time I was here the speed was measured in kbps!!! Not even 1 mbps! Screw this place. I'll find a new place or stay at home. No wonder it's always empty. read more

Stopped in the other day for a little brew for a pick-up. You know, a little tire after work, looking for a good cup of joe and a few moments to just relax. Well I ordered a Pikes Roast and I do love the brownies, so I ordered one of those too, warmed. So I sat and waited. And waited. Other patrons came and place their orders and I still waited. It wasn't RHAT busy. Finally I approached the counter. A nice older tatted lady asked. Me if I needed help. I guess I looked bewildered. So, well, yes, I've been waiting on my coffee and a nice warm brownie. And with that, one barista said my coffee was sitting on the counter waiting I suppose for a brownie. My name was never called. The other barista suddenly remembered the brownie in the warmer. She spun around and warmed it again. So I did get my coffee, now cool, and I got a twice warmed brownie, which tasted...twice warmed. I won't say that I was excited that Starbucks came to town, but I at least *knew* that I could get my norm since the recipes are the same. Oh boy was I wrong! I should have known when I rattled off my order as I do in Dallas, and I got silence with a mumbled "Umm.. can you repeat that please?". Instead of an iced matcha latte this last time, I got a horrid vanilla latte with matcha powder. I've given them half a dozen tries and have only gotten 1 drink made correctly. Just 1... I came into this restaurant, just asking for something that didn't taste of coffee too strongly and had some milk in it. I am thankful that the young man who helped me gave me plenty of suggestions and was patient. I ended up with a vanilla bean "crmfr," and I really enjoyed it! read more
