Come here if you want to be humiliated and insulted over your drink choice!…read more I'm talking specifically about the TFDL location. Nothing but BS. I'm one of those lucky few who, if I have a solid amount of dairy, I get the pleasure of crapping myself. Alas, I have to resort to soy if I want my beloved latte. Every. single. time. I've come to think location and ordered a soy latte, one of the three regular snarky baristas makes a comment about it within earshot, something to the tune of either being high maintenance or, my current favourite (when I was bold enough to order a flavoured latte with only half the syrup because sugar rush +9am class = horrible combo): "This one hits all the checkmarks. Did you catch all of that?" (to the barista making the coffee). On one particularly crabby day, one of them had also made a comment about the order the girl behind me had requested. If you don't want to make drinks with soy, don't offer it as an option if it's such a pain. The baristas at this location need a SERIOUS attitude adjustment. I've never had an issue with the ICT Good Earth but this one.... jeez. Might as well be back in junior high.

I'm writing about this location because I have found the cashiers to be noticeably friendly, which I really appreciate. I also enjoy Sev's ridiculously evil, yet so yummy specialty treats, like the Raspberry Caramel Cappuccino I just discovered and downed a big mug of yesterday. Wow, that was awesome (but keep in mind that never in life have I had anything too sweet to devour, so some of you may not agree). As much as I prefer to support the mom and pop businesses of Calgary, there are a few occasions when the big guy wins.

Two words: hangover cure!…read more I speak no word of a lie. As a person who has pretty severe hangovers (I equate it to dehydration) I am always searching for something that will cure my 26-oz flu. I've tried everything from a cup of coffee the night before, to crazy herbal teas the next morning. I've tried eating, sleeping, drinking, meditating, more sleeping, but nothing seemed to work. That was until I found Booster Juice. I am eternally grateful to these guys for packing so many vitamins into delicious smoothies and making me feel better. I can't tell you how happy I was when I realized the magic these babies held! Plus, they're pretty good for you. There is no additional sugar added, and it's pretty much just a bunch of fruit and juice. You can even add your own 'boost' to the mix. It's all listed on the wall for you to choose from, but I usually just tell the worker to surprise me. I haven't been disappointed yet. They may be a bit expensive, but you get a hell of a lot of stuff in them. It's a giant cup full to the brim with deliciousness, so I think it's definitely worth paying the $6 for it. Plus, it's a very refreshing treat on a hot summer's day. So, next time you're suffering from the morning after blues, trust me when I say that Booster Juice can help you. It will restore your vitality and make you feel as good as new! Scouts honour.
