This Starbucks is a kiosk and not really a regular location, at least not in the sense that most Starbucks stores tend to be in Buenos Aires. It's reminiscent of an airport Starbucks, but with less seating room still.
There's barely any sitting room: three tables (with four chairs each) and one miniscule bar right behind their coffee grinder with four stools. That's it. That's the whole store.
It's supremely uncomfortable to sit at the bar, where I unfortunately had to stay while I finished my drink. The stools are wobbly and people come over to the bar constantly to ask for water, bumping on the stupid stool. On top of that, the three tables that are vacated are immediately occupied by passer-byes. Bye. I'm paying like 100 pesos for a stupid coffee that I can't drink sitting comfortably.
The service isn't very good either. While the baristas are nice, they're constantly chatting among themselves and ignoring the people lining up at the register. They do make the drinks somewhat quickly but it gets annoying while you're waiting to see that they're just telling each other about their fun weekend escapades. Meanwhile, the table you've been eyeing is occupied by a family of four.
If there was another coffee shop where I could get a huge coffee with soy milk, I wouldn't come get frustrated here. read more
