Starbucks is popular in the Philippines with college students and businessmen, so it's very "sosyal" (upper class) to meet at Starbucks, hence the pricey menu. This branch is newly opened with glass outer walls, lots of comfortable seating, 2 large fully stocked unisex bathrooms, a large (for the Philippines) parking lot with a couple handicapped spaces. There's also a drive through.
You get greeted at the door by the security guard who opens the door for you, and then the staff inside also greet you. Standard Starbucks fare: bakery items, prepackaged sandwiches, coffee and tea drinks.
Strong aircon, relaxing music in the background, and cool art on the walls. In high school and college I was a die hard Starbucks fan; but now, I've grown to love the small mom & pop coffee shops. We are fortunate to have many, many cool/cute/themed coffee shops in Angeles City, so you'll usually find me elsewhere. However, when I'm in the mood to splurge on my go-to iced hazelnut latte (they have the best hazelnut syrup) with whipped cream and a warmed up chocolate chip macadamia cookie, I'll be relaxing here.
PS Thanks to the hard working guard for hailing us a jeep. You can catch the red Sapang Bato jeeps to get here. If you're coming from San Fernando area, it's in the Villa Manuela Subdivision before you get to Anunas and the bridge that leads to Koreatown.
