Our larger event required a lot of preplanning and preparations, which included organizing presentations from our 8 guest speakers we had. The communication throughout the entire planning process was outstanding -- timely, clear, and always reassuring -- which made such a difference while planning a Hawaii wedding all the way from the east coast. On the big day, everything was executed flawlessly. The ceremony was beautifully timed, the music perfectly matched each moment, and the reception was seamless from start to finish. Spike was not only professional but also witty, charismatic, and so engaging with our guests -- he kept the energy high all night and made everyone feel part of the celebration. The addition of uplighting also added the perfect ambiance, elevating the entire experience into something magical. And so, I decided on throwing my baby's party at Bishop Museum's great lawn. With that said, I needed to find a tent company that could supply tables, chairs, and lighting for that amount of guests. Hawaii Tents & Events happened to be the best option especially for the price paid. Other tent companies I researched would have charged easily over $5,000 (without tax) and one company even quoted me close to $10,000. With Hawaii Tents & Events, I did pay a little under $5,000. But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The tents, tables and chairs weren't in the best condition but they weren't bad looking either. I did knock off a star because my communication with Tracey (Director of Sales & Marketing), though not the worst, was also not the greatest. Over the phone, she seemed really nice. It was just, at times, it was hard to get a hold of her. I didn't get responses as quick as I would have liked, especially when it came down to figuring out the layout of everything. A lot of my other vendors were dependent on the final layout and some decisions throughout my party planning had to be held off longer than I would have wanted. The mediocre communication, however, would not keep me from booking with them in the future. Their prices really cannot be beat!

Reserved a date through their website for the Pirate Ship Bouncer. I can't believe how easy it was…read moreto reserved the date, just filled out the information. About a week after my reservation, Daniel called me and confirmed my rental. I did not know the exact date yet because I did not get my permit for Ala Moana Beach Park. So he saved two dates for me and I told him i would call him that week to re-confirm. I called back to re-confirm and got my deposit down of $50. I mentioned that I had the Hawaii Parent coupon and he gave me a discount on top of the sale. He then sent me digital contract. The day of my sons party, Tito set up the huge pirate ship with two helpers. They came right on time and set up the bouncer very quickly. Tito asked me if the position of the bouncer was where I wanted it and made sure that I was happy on the set up. After they finish setting up the bouncer they went inside and whipped everything down and then tito had me sign the contract that they dropped off the bouncer and they already had my card on file so that saved me some trouble of getting my card again and etc. The only reason it was shy of a star was that the generator stopped working about 3 times but it did go back on again. All those times I had kids in there that were freaking out and screaming adults panicking and so forth. I don't understand why it went down but I called Daniel the 3rd time and told him what happened. He told me he was going to send one of his guys out to see the problem and if they needed to switch the generator out. Tito came and checked on it and reassured us that if it happened again, that i call him directly. So he gave me his cell number and apologized and from then on there were no problems. I would definitely use them again, my quests kept telling me they had so much fun and wanted me to take it home. Haha until next time!

I knew I wanted a bouncer, but figured I'd find no one with this theme. I began researching the different companies that offer bounce houses and came across Ohana Bounce (my friend also recommended them). Lo and behold....they had this theme (they were the only ones out of 5 that I called)! They also had summer specials so I saved a little money. Everything from start to finish was smooth. They were a few minutes late to set up, BUT they also came a little late to tear down...which gave the kids more time to jump their hearts away! Rental period is for 8 hrs and he doesn't charge delivery fees. Major plus!! I'd definitely go with them again!

I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!

Cheehooo to the Best Night Ever!…read more I had the opportunity of experiencing DJ Osnizzle at my wedding that truly blew my socks off--along with my bouquet as that mysteriously went missing early into the evening. If you're looking for a DJ who not only knows how to keep the dance floor packed but also has a great sense of humor, and cool as a Cucumber then Osnizzle is your man.  From the moment Osna arrived, there was an infectious energy in the air. They set up their equipment faster than I've ever seen anyone assemble IKEA furniture--which is saying something! Their playlist was meticulously curated, blending classic hits with the latest bangahz. I mean, who knew that "versace on the floor" could get aunties and uncles on the dance floor. Talk about an impressive feat! Throughout the evening, DJ Osnizzle was not just a DJ; they were a master of ceremonies, keeping the vibe lively and engaging. With quick wit and playful banter, they had everyone laughing between songs. What really stood out was his ability to read the room. They seamlessly transitioned from romantic slow dances to high-energy tracks, ensuring that no one could resist showing off their questionable dance moves. And let's talk about the sound quality--it was impeccable! No awkward "can you hear me?" moments or feedback screeches. Just clear beats that vibrated through our bones, making us feel like we should have left our worries at the door and joined a dance-off competition. In conclusion, if you want a wedding DJ who delivers more than just music--someone who brings humor, energy, and a ridiculous amount of fun--look no further than DJ Osnizzle. They made our celebration unforgettable, and anytime I hear Bruno I think of the best night of my life.   Mahalo Braddah for sharing your talents with us!
