I would not recommend this car rental company. I got a good price for the car that was available…read more It was a $150 deposit with about $180 for 3 days. I was told by the teller that if ANYTHING happened I would only pay the $150 deposit. This was not true. As an American driving on the left side was a challenge and I did inadvertently scratch the front left rim. This 4 inch scratch on the outer edge of the rim ended up costing me an additional $300 plus the deposit because "Rims were not covered by the deposit" I understand I caused damage and I should have paid for damages. I however was not told the rims were separate from the deposit and if damaged would not be covered under the damage deposit. And after I checked and was told that the damage deposit would be returned, it never was.For 3 days coming to ~$600.

Avoid Gerry Mullin Car Hire/Sales! In my experience a very…read moredodgy businessman. I was interested in buying a car from him which on the surface seemed like a bargain. I did some basic checks online using the registration number and found the car had been in an accident previously which he failed to mention. When I questioned him about this and asked to see the car log book/ service history he became very aggressive and began to curse and shout. He said he could not provide this information. Added to this The local newspaper "The Monaghan Standard" a few years ago revealed how he had been clocking the mileage on cars. A giant scumbag!
