After 3 years here, I would not recommend this particular Regus site for the following reasons:…read more1. I was double billed on the first month. It required a call to American Express to get resolved (local Regus staff said it was out of their hands). 2. When I upgraded my office and signed a 1 year agreement, I was told they would apply my original deposit to the new deposit. They forgot to do this and billed me the entire new deposit, my current month's rent, plus the first month's rent of the upgraded space on my credit card. That is 4 months of rent to hit at one time, even though I couldn't even use the new office for 90 days. It took 97 days, a help desk phone call, and numerous interactions with center staff for them to return the original deposit they "forgot" to apply to my new deposit that was already billed. 3. When I signed a two year lease extension, even though I had commitment in email from the former center manager that she would lock in my rate for 24 months, my lease still went up $40/month in year two. I have been told everything from the former center manager wasn't authorized to promise two years to that my terms and conditions changed since I originally signed the lease extension. In the new terms and conditions (when you click on the link, it constantly says, terms have been updated), it now states that they can raise your rent in year 2. 4. The formerly free conference room, known as the community room, used to be able to be reserved a week in advance for free and comfortably held 5 people. They then moved it to a smaller room that could only hold 3 people. They then started charging us for reserving the room ahead of time. Now, only morning of reservations are "free" and can last a maximum of 2 hours. This happened right after signing my two year lease extension. 5. I was billed an extra half hour for conference room space because even though I wasn't even using the space, just because a meeting attendee showed up early, they put them in the conference room a half hour ahead of time and added it to my bill. Even though I was still in a meeting in my own office with someone else??? Isn't that what the lobby's reception area is for? So our early meeting arrivals can relax and wait for us there? 6. I was double billed for a conference room rental. It took two phone calls and numerous discussions with my center management to get a credit issued. I was told I would still need to pay the double billed amount and then wait for a credit towards a future bill. This required two more conversations and a phone call, AND taking my account off autopay to get the original invoice corrected. 7. Despite the fact that I had paid my rent via check and the check already cleared, AND I had confirmation from the help desk that autopay was removed, for some reason, they still attempted to Autopay my account as the center forget to mark my invoice as paid. Again, another phone call to the help desk to get this payment status resolved. 8. Right after signing the lease, they announced there would be a $9 charge if the front desk staff needed to notify us if we had US mail or a package to pick up. They also said they would charge $9 if we had to leave anything at the front desk for someone else to pick up (i.e. like a brochure, file, etc.). This was previously included as an amenity. The sheer amount of time it takes to resolve small mistakes the center makes, the constantly changing cost of amenities, and their availability, and the lack of anyone in charge of making decisions as to how to handle basic issues like being overcharged is just not worth it. It is a shame as the building and grounds are beautiful and well maintained by the building's actual owners (not Regus- Regus rents from them). I'd suggest going directly to the owners of the spaces whenever possible to get a more traditional lease vs. what Regus refers to as an Agreement. Alternatively, if this is your only option, do not sign anything more than month to month so you can leave if the amenity you count on disappears.
