Dropped my laptop off on the Aug 18th, to be sent for warranty (ECP), didn't hear anything, so decided to call the tech (on Aug 26) services warehouse number to see what was going on and was told that they have not received it/the store didn't ship it. So then had to call the store to find out that it wasn't sent out till Aug 21st (3 days later), due to being overlooked by staff. As I am moving away to school soon and with everything being online this is very frustrating. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with sending my laptop for warranty. In May 2020 I sent my laptop back and when it came back and I was setting it back up, I noticed they put the wrong hard drive in. I was suppose to have a 1TB hard drive and they put in a 250GB, losing 3/4 of storage space. I use to like getting my laptops from staples but maybe it would be best to switch to BestBuy, The Source or someone else. read more

Never take a laptop in for repair here and never buy their stupid "No hassle warranty" I just got a laptop back from "repair" if you can call it that, for a battery that wasn't working. Well 15 days latter I have my laptop back they did not replace the battery they did not fix the issue, but they did manage to wipe out all my data for some reason, I guess they needed to justify there BS 200$ charge. Words can not describe how annoyed I am with staples and easy care at the moment. I would have much rather not spent 200 on the extended "warranty" and spent my money on replacing the battery myself. would have been cheaper, faster and I would still have all my data!! Just spoke with the a$$ clowns at easy care and they said we advise you to back up your data as it maybe lost. then she went on to say that always wipe computers when they come in. tell me how the EFF!!!! is that hastle free?? for a battery!!!!! Do not waste your time in staples and do not waste your time with easy care!!! I hope my loss will save some of you grief. I haven't even go on to talk about the total lack of information given to me by the store and the information I was given was incorrect!! Came into staples today two times, we spent well over 100 dollars needing something last min. When we asked any questions everyone sounded annoyed that we talked to them. The second time we were in the print section and spent well over an hour trying to print something with no help or checking in. When asked if there was help, still no one came over. We were there close to closing time, and it was clear they didn't care if we left with what we needed they just wanted us to leave, many sighs and comments. Would avoid in the future. read more

Wow, what a disaster and that is an complete understatement. Called into the tech department and told them I had a problem when booting up my computer. I was told by the tech service person that they could fix it and it would take 5 to 10 max business to fix. I took my computer in on the 2nd of December and was forced to pay $168 upfront. Today is the 29th and tomorrow will mark the 4th week staples has held my computer hostage. I was told a week into the progress that my computer magically needs a new internal hard drive and it's going to cost an extra $180. Didn't remember the tech mentioning that when I first inquired. Long story short DO NOT take any computer or device you own there. When I asked what staples could do to fix the issue I was legit bitched at by the manager (Wendy). Never have I been more upset about a business. What a scam. Wish I read the reviews before taking my computer. The best part is they haven't called me once to update me. I've called multiple times on multiple occasions to ask about my computer and I get told "we will call you back". What a joke. I specifically requested an automatic duplex laser printer and instead was sold a manual duplex printer (for a lot of money), of which you require the patience of Job to operate. Crappy model, BROTHER MFC-9130CW jambs up every time you place the letter sized paper into the piddly undersized tray that couldn't hold an envelope if you needed it to. Instead of wasting people's money, time and patience on this out of date crap technology, Staples and Brother would be better to send all of this model to the landfill and retire them to the E waste bin, where they might be useful to someone for a boat anchor or disassembly.
