After my brother and I put an engine in my truck, the engine needed a tune. Stamey was the only person advertising custom LS engine work along with tunes, wiring harnesses, swaps etc. In my area without having a few months long wait list. AUG 16/17 2023 I DROVE the truck to him in Upton and once he did the tune my truck was inoperable and non functional. He told me to tow my truck to his shop JDS performance and he would "take care of it" for me. We agreed he would fix my truck in exchange for the core engine from my truck. OCT 23 2023 Took him apparently 3 months to "diagnose" that my engine jumped time. He tried to charge me $1500 for the repairs at this point. I went to his shop to remind him of our past agreement and re negotiated. I paid him up front for the parts and this was essentially the last time I heard from him. JAN 2024 on the 5th was the last time I heard any info on my truck after numerous attempts of trying to get a hold of him. He told me the truck was getting worked on. On the 24th, I went back to the shop to check on my truck and apparently his business was closed down and my truck was nowhere to be found. My truck was moved without anyone notifying me. I tried calling multiple times to figure something out but again he continued to dodge me and I still had no idea where my truck was or could be. I had to report my truck as stolen and this was the only way I could get it back. Along with investing a few thousand dollars in my engine and the time it took to get it working, now I was scammed for an additional $650 and in exchange I still have a torn apart non functional vehicle. DO NOT give this man or his business any of your honest hard earned money because he runs a chop shop and there's no telling what else is wrong with my truck now. On a positive note the munfordville police department have been exceptional in the search and recovery of my vehicle. They recovered it not even 2 days after I reported the vehicle stolen and their chief and assistant chief of police have been extremely helpful and professional.

i was in a m.v.a. on august 14th and was injured and was taken by ambulance to the hospital…read moreunresponsive and the officer at the scene called carl's towing. i had no choice in the matter and when i called the next morning, literally as soon as they opened and he told me yes come on up and we will talk about it. when i get there he says you can pay almost $500 for his services or pay $150 and sign the recipt and that would give him my car plus the $150 i had to pay to even look at my car, i only needed to get my important stuff from it and wasnt allowed until the money was paid and i signed the recipt. i had several personal belongings on my car and inportant papers that had my personal information on them, when i got to my car my laptop that was in my purse in the front seat was shoved up under the passenger seat and my medication i had in my purse was gone as well. the personal papers were gone to and i have had calls asking me to finish my requests, one for a walmart card and another from a car lot wanting to sell me a new car based on my request. i have not done anything to try for a new car because of insurance companies. the driver in the oposite vehicle gave the wrong information and i cant get anything done and i cant scrap my car for a possible down payment for a car because carls took my car. i have spoken with several diffrent organizations that say he is not allowed to do that, espically since my insurance company had not been notified of the accident and had no chance to even look at my car. in my opinion carls is a thief and shady. would not reccomend to anyone, not even someone i hate.
