It wasn't nearly as pricy as it looks, and its worth staying there afterwards for a coffee. Since that first time I've been there many times, and never has it failed me. I've always enjoyed what I've eaten here, and the beer's good to. We had the sticky meat platter to start off with which was delicious - the incredibly healthy deep fried belly pork was melt in the mouth and tasted gorgeous with the onion chutney. My partner then had the line caught cod which came with mushy peas (always a win in my book - I'm a Northern lass!) and beautiful fat crisp chips. I had a burger topped with pulled pork - both meals were delicious. Drinks wise they have a very large range - I had a Rhubarb Fizz non alcoholic cocktail and my partner had an Ubu. The other important thing to say about the Victoria is that the service is excellent and the staff make you feel very welcome. There is a car park and outside dining and the interior decoration is very pleasing. I can't recommend this place highly enough - we love it.
