After many headaches with other mechanics AND another suggestion from Dad to take my car to Risinger's this time, I did. I was well taken care of. Unlike other mechanics who charged me close to $1,000 for the same work, Mark Risinger has my car running like a dream at about 1/4th of that cost. To be specific, I needed my rotors replaced --- I heard it was going to cost a fortune to have done. However, Mr. Risinger must know where to get his parts at a reasonable price. His labor cost is more than fair. His shop is located off the S 6th St extension close to the food pantry and overpass so it's a little ways out of town. I need my car right away because it's the only vehicle I have. I found out this week that by letting him know that, he could schedule the repair at a time that he could get it back to me same day. I don't pay attention to stuff like when my inspection is due, whether or not my registration sticker is on my plate or if my insurance card is the right one or not. So, as a disorganized individual, I was so grateful that he let me know about the inspection, took care of it AND the sticker on my plate. Truly now I am road worthy and have no intention of taking my car to anyone else in the future.

He truly cares about his customers, and wants to save them money where he can. I am an IUP student, and I called Risinger Auto Repairs to see if I could get power steering fluid since I needed a specific kind for my Acura TL that Walmart didn't sell. I had gotten my power steering pump replaced a few months earlier, and it was now leaking from the hose. When I got there he gave me the fluid and told me that if it continued to leak that I could bring it back and he would check it out for me. He gave me enough fluid to drive back to my apartment, and said I could pay him for it later. My car continued to leak fluid, so I set up a time to bring my car in. He was very kind, and said that if I didn't think the car would make it to the shop that he could come and bring me more fluid. The problem did end up being with the hose, and he fixed it for a very reasonable price. When my car was finished, he drove it to me since I wasn't able to get a ride to the shop that day. He even mounted my license plate since I had been too lazy to do so, and it was sitting in my back window. I would definitely recommend coming here for any repairs you may need!

Then I found out about Garage2u. Garage2u is a mobile mechanic. They come to your house (or wherever your car is) and fix it right there. They have all the tools that they need. In my case he worked on my car in the driveway. It couldn't have been easier. And it couldn't have been more cost effective. Way less than half of what the garage wanted. And it passed inspection! Oh and get this. Dan (the mechanic) called me two days later to follow up and make sure that everything was ok with the car. Show me another mechanic that does that! Our normal shop said it sounded like like the transmission and recommended we take it to Dan's based on their expertise. On extremely short notice, they squeezed us in same day, diagnosed the issue correctly and completely repaired the van. One coil, 6 plugs, 5 boots and an oil change later and it runs like a dream. It's pretty rare these days to find such honest, quality and fairly priced service and so glad this local shop is part of our Cranberry Township community. Scott is a brilliant troubleshooter and takes the time to make sure everything is fixed completely the first time. He is transparent, fair, humble, and kind. The reviews about fixing the light bulb and the rubbing sound are very familiar. One day I lost an exhaust holder. He gave me metal coat hangers to rig it until I had time to fix it properly even though he was extraordinarily busy. Scott is a kind man, a man of his word, and the best (and most thorough) mechanic I've ever met. Plus his prices are fair and reasonable.
