The caretaker in my primary school was called Stan (Mr. Pappini, I salute you), so consequently whenever I see the name 'Stan' or 'Stanley', I always think of a school caretaker. Stanley doesn't really sound like a newsagent's name but then again, I don't really know what does. Maybe something like 'Brian's Newsagent'.
From the outside, Stanley's resembles the front of a woman's glossy magazine as the shop window is covered in various large signs and classifieds. However, upon entering Stanley's, you are greeted by staff that are friendly, chatty and helpful.
Stanley's has a great range of products available for its customers, offering the usual newspapers and magazines as well as essential bits and bobs at reasonable prices. Helpfully, you can also pay for your various bills here, in fact there's of surprising number of things you can actually pay for (including bus tickets?)
