Stanley Steemer did a tile cleaning job in Cape Coral, Florida, on our newly-purchased home, which my husband and I have not moved furniture into yet. There was a previously repaired grout line in a threshold of a high traffic area. This was evident at our time of purchase and the time the job began. During their treatment, the worker went over the area with his machine, and the liquid was forced into the floor, causing cracked grout and several tiles in this area to start lifting. The tiles are loosening, grout is cracked, and the cracking continues to expand with more walking. There was a brush used on the grout lines, and there is damage in those areas as well. The areas along the baseboards show the light color the grout should be, yet the worker says there is a stain on the tile, and it should be the color he left. If the tile lines were all left one color, I might believe him, but it's evident that areas were left untreated. The tile is simply not clean. There has been no response from the Fort Myers, Florida office following my request to speak with a manager. I requested an email address to file a report, and the receptionist refused to give one, stating she would have someone call me. I don't recommend anyone trust them to do a good job. I regret not providing supervision and babysitting when they did the work, but I just didn't think it was a difficult job. I would warn others to be very careful working with them, because you don't want to have grout that remains dirty, cracked, and damaged tile to deal with after they are gone. This has been a horrible welcome to our new community, and has resulted in an unexpected expense that was never budgeted for in our move! Their lack of concern for the problem is horrible. Hired Stanley Steamer to clean and seal grout. They arrived at 11am after being told they'd arrive between 8am and noon. Technicians were nice. My porcelain tile looks great, but the grout not so. The house smells like moth balls and made me wheeze. Next time I'll hire a professional grout cleaning company and have my husband supervise. read more

I've used Stanley Steemer three times. First two times I was happy. The third time they stretched out my carpet. It doesn't show up for a couple of days. The men were very nice, and they prices aren't bad. But beware that this can happen to you, and it wasn't something they warned me could happen during the process. I guess I'll keep that in mind when I use another method. read more

Hi, I have written to Stanley Steamer on their Facebook page and complained about the price i have paid for ONE (!) Livingroom carpet. I have asked to clean two rooms and paid for one bedroom apartment, living room and bedroom . The guy who came to clean my apartment tells me he only cleans the LIVINGROOM for that price, not the bedroom, just because i have the tiniest breakfast table in the livingroom.He told me it counts like two rooms.I asked him if he was joking, no dead serious, so he cleaned only livingroom and Stanley Steamer charged me for 2 rooms. I was extremely disappointed and decided to complain but i let it go for a while, I had some personal problems at work but when i see their Home Page and telling people how great they are... are they really ?? They have contacted me after i have written on FB but then nothing!!!! I havent heard a word. My next step is BBB. I am sorry I am done waiting for them . read more

I had Stanley Steemer come back to clean an area of floor tile grout that I felt could be improved. They came promptly and did the area and also explained it might not work. But, it did improve the grout lines some. I can live with it. I also asked for advice on cleaning it in the future and they were very helpful. My advice: don't wait too long before having your tile grout lines cleaned. read more

I've been using Stanley Steemer for over 20 years in Florida. They are trustworthy, concerned and get in and out as quickly as possible. Once, they broke a vase I didn't move before they came and they promptly gave me the exact price I told them I paid for the item without any sales receipt or verification of any kind. I'm a real estate investor and required tile and grout cleaning to prepare two renovated houses for sale. One was tiled throughout the living, kitchen, dining area and the other in the entry-way inside the front door. To say that I am disappointed in the result would be an under-statement. Whilst the tile surfaces were certainly cleaned with the equipment used, it hardly touched the grout which remained looking uncleaned. I have spent the morning on my hands and knees with some grout cleaner and various brushes, focusing on the kitchen, which is now looking exceedingly better. This company charges top dollar for something it does not deliver. It should be promoting tile cleaning, but not grout cleaning!! read more
