Called to request quote to clean the air vents throughout our home. Response back was fast to schedule day and time for inspection & quote. Funny thing, they called back to ask if they could come later because they were extremely busy. Then, when called to confirm time the day before, they asked could they come earlier, which turned out to be our originally scheduled appointment. Liked that both for the quote and the actual service, they kept me apprised of their arrival time. Anthony & Wily came in and with as little intrusion as possible went about cleaning our air vents which, "Saints be praised!", turned out to be not that bad. Removed dust and stuff in the vents and cleaned the vents so they actually match the walls again! When asked how bad it was, they said that it wasn't too bad because if it had been, they'd have shown us what they found. Ewww! They cleaned up after themselves so you'd never know they'd even been there. What was invoiced, was exactly what we were quoted, less invoice. They did excellent work, were professional, and polite. ***DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY**** In December, I contracted them to clean my air ducts because they are well-known company and have 75 years in business. I wanted a company I could trust. I explained to the main tech (other was new and in training) my concerns as I am a caregiver for my 90 yrs old father who is in heart failure. The main tech who was a larger muscular male (approx. 220 + lbs) advised me that they go into the attic to inspect the ventilation for breaches as a part of their service. He and he alone went into the attic to take pictures and check the vents and duct work throughout the house. I paid them $1655 and all was well until the next day when I realized he had damaged my ceiling. I have a crack running from the diningroom to the livingroom that branches off to the kitchen area. I immediately contacted Stanley. They sent the tech back out. He took pictures and advised a supervisor would be in contact with me. Several days passed with no contact for SS, so I called the company again and Earl Thompson, the so-called supervisor came out and too took pictures. He stated that they would send a contractor out to price the repairs to which he did. But what I did not know was that Earl was not happy with the cost estimate which was approx. $1000.00. So, he sent a 2nd contractor who quoted the same. During this time "Earl" was so friendly and kind. We shared pictures of our gardens etc. Everytime we spoke he was so polite. But, after 5 months of no resolution, I found a contractor and he too quoted me the same price. But now I am being spoken to rudely and told they are not responsible because he does not believe they are responsible for my cracked ceiling. When they saw that my closet was the size of a bedroom, they could have charged a lot more, but they honored the original price for a closet. They damaged a piece of furniture while cleaning my carpet. I figured since they made it right by fixing it I would use them again. I called fir an appointment they refused service and it's ok they're not the only company around. So I guess they didn't want to fix it. They want to tear up furniture and not expect to fix it. Just had Louis and Cam finish my upholstery and carpet cleaning as well as my tile floors done.I could not be more pleased. They were both very professional and prompt. They called me before arriving and explained all the services they offered in which I was not aware of how much they do. The upholstery was white and dingy and came out looking brand new. The tile floor looks sparkly and it smells amazing in my home. I was very happy with the level of professionalism I received by both of them. If you are concerned about using Stanley Steemer please do not hesitate as the service was impeccable. I will definitely be using them again. We spent almost $300 getting tile in our dining room and kitchen cleaned and sealed. The first crew that came out were very pleasant and complimentary of the condition of the tile. We went over a couple of areas that were higher traffic and might need a little more attention. The tile and grout was still quite wet when they left and I was told it would take a couple of hours to dry completely. He said it cleaned up well and should look as good as new after it dried. If we had any concerns to call. That evening after it dried there were water stains and some discoloration so we scheduled a follow up call. Our expectation was not "Good as new" however we were disappointed considering the home is 4 years old and in good condition. Our frustration is with the second crew (Louis and Raul) that came out that proceeded to argue with my husband because they thought it looked "pretty good" and claimed it was shadows and not dirt. Afterwards the two gentleman proceeded to go outside to their van and call my husband an ***hole which I heard because all of the windows were open in our house. When the worker saw me he tried to change the subject and came and started the job. After the job was done Louis came back and said "Oh, I did see the variations in the grout that you were talking about". This bad review isn't because they had to come out and redo the work, it's because of the treatment we received during the visit. For this reason we will not use Stanley Steemer in the future and we will share our experience with others. read more
