Had my bedroom carpet cleaned today and an area rug..the two men were pleasant. it took longer to get the equipment out of the truck and back in the truck then it did to clean the carpet. I mainly got them because of the walk way was dirty. They said they could get it lighter, but couldn't get it entirely clean,, they did go over the area serval times. My reason for the one star is they forgot to put foil under the legs of my wooden furniture. when I realized that they hadn't protected my furniture,I called them back, The service man told me they dried the carpet it would be fine. I called the office number and was told they would have to do a rebill and the earliest they could come would be Saturday. I asked to speak to the manager and the phone operator replied that was who said about coming out on Saturday, I replied that's too late, the furniture would be ruined. My husband is 76 years old and struggled to put aluminum foil under the legs. This is unacceptable and no way to run a business. read more

Schedule on line. 1800 Sq ft of carpet. 4 BR and loft so said 5 rooms. Home empty On line was around $350. Took them 30 minutes to do entire home. Spray and suck up water. When done it cost $554 after resizing, adding closets and adding deodorant. I know you can't clean that much carpet in half an hour. When movers delivered goods I got my Hoover carpet cleaner and went over it again with clear water. Had to clean it 3 times to get clear water back. Stanley Steamer was worthless. I did a much better job myself with my own equipment that actually had a motor and a brush to clean. I'm 73 and this was the biggest rip off I've ever seen. A total waste of money. I had my carpet cleaned recently. Two young men came to my house named Brandon and Drew. These young men were friendly, professional and did a great job. They helped move the heavy stuff in the room and made the carpet look like it did 10 years ago. The service was great and these two guys that represented the company did a fantastic job. Extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and customer service within the office.

Only 3 stars.... So let me start with the "good" 1) The young men were pleasant and appeared to be working hard. 2) My dissatisfaction garnered me a full refund. The not so good. My 10 years old sofa, which lives in a house with multiple animals was pretty smelly. Hadn't been cleaned in awhile, so it was due. The young men came, and did what I thought was vacuum, wash, and deodorize my couch. So the dog wouldn't jump on the now wet couch, it was turned to face the wall with the wet cushions standing on end. It was still very damp about my bedtime so I left it till morning. When I went to turn it around, the corners where the back meets the arms were still covered with dust, and as I started putting the cushions in place what was dirty BEFORE they came was now muddy, and matted. The couch stunk as well. This is not what I paid for. As I stated at the beginning, I was given a FULL refund and personally will look elsewhere for cleaners. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The technicians were extremely rude (even the Cox technician commented after they left that "I guess customer service is dead.") They mildewed my rug, and when I tried to have it fixed, the manager flipped out on me, accused me of somehow causing the mildew and/ or lying, and accused me of swearing at him for saying, "Look, I just need my rug fixed." Unless something changes, I'll be suing them in small claims court for damages to my nicest rug. read more

I have a rental apartment that needed carpet cleaning after the tenant moved out. A dog and 2 cats lived there. I was very impressed with Ronny who was friendly and spoke clearly with me on the phone and answered questions about cost and scheduling. He took my credit card information to cover the agreed upon price since I would not be the one to let the crew inside the home. He sent competent, courteous technicians who took care of the cleaning. The only downside was that the cost went up after the technicians measured the square footage. I knew the room was oversized, but I hadn't measured to realize that it counted as 2 rooms. The price was still reasonable (it came out of the tenant's pet deposit anyway), and the guys spent 45 minutes on the job. The payment was easy; they have a portable unit so can easily go to a 2nd or 3rd story apartment if needed. The owner called the next day to ask how I liked the service. I will call on them the next time I need carpet cleaners. Oh, and the carpet looks and smells great! read more

Great Service! The office staff and the service techs were courteous and polite. I was quoted a fair price for the carpets, tile floors and area rug that needed cleaning, and was able to book an appointment within a week of the call. I then received a call the day before to confirm the appointment, a call when they were headed my way the day of the appointment and a call after the appointment to check on my satisfaction, excellent customer service. The service techs arrived on time, were very professional as we reviewed all the rooms and they addressed all my concerns (very competent). I made an online appointment and within a day or two I received a phone call from SSCC confirming the appointment and to ask me about my floors. I do not have hardwood floors but two employees came out to look at my floors to determine if they could indeed clean them. Well, they not only cleaned them, but the employees were friendly and explained the process to me. I even got them to do my kitchen, even though that wasn't part of my original appt. After they left my home, I got a follow-up phone call from the office. I will definitely be using them again for any future floor cleaning. read more

My wife and I contacted Stanley Steemer to clean our tile in a bathroom, kitchen and foyer. First the good. The floors came out very clean and they were early. Now the bad. The price quoted went up when I went to the door to let them in without their even measuring. John, the lead technician, referred to me as "My Man." I am a professional who is 63 years old and did not appreciate being referred to as "My Man" repeatedly. I am a customer with a first and last name and should have been addressed accordingly. Adjacent to the kitchen floor is a vinyl hardwood floor. We had to clean it three times before the solvent they used for the tile floor came off. The adjacent floor should have been covered. All the furniture was moved by us except for the refrigerator which we were told would be pulled out by John and his assistant. They took the check and left. I checked the refrigerator. It had not been moved. I tried to catch them, but they were gone. I called the office and was told they weren't supposed to remove refrigerators because of the liability. I advised the manager we were told they could and would move the refrigerator upon arrival. The crew was immediately sent back and cleaned the area. I pulled the refrigerator out and they pushed it back. After cleaning the refrigerator area, they left without saying a word. In fact, I did not realize they left. Before leaving the first time, John said the residue on the floor was the result of the cleaner we use. He suggested we go with natural cleaning products, specifically, hot water and vinegar, which is a good idea. When I asked him what the ratio should be, he had no idea. Also, the assistant used the bathroom without checking with me. Although I would have given permission, it seems to me to be common courtesy to check with the owner of the house prior to using the facilities. I have used Stanley Steamer in Kenner several times. I have pets and they clean my carpet to a new again state. Also I feel they do better on tile. When I built my house I made the mistake to use white grout and lite tan tile. They are the only people that can restore it to looking new again. I have them scheduled to come out again on 5/19/12. I called Stanley Steemer on a Wednesday and a very pleasant representative set up an appointment within a few days. Two very professional and courteous technicians came, went over everything with us, did the work, and were out the door in an hour. We have 2 dogs, a cat, and 4 kids, so the four rugs we had cleaned were DIRTY. Worst of all, they smelled like feet! Details aside, the rugs look great, no longer smell, and we are very pleased with the results. Will definitely use again. The service technicians were fine. They get the three stars, company representative a ZERO. It's a very hot day and they were already exhausted. I was quoted $99 for two rooms plus extra for a hallway (and given the cost per square foot hallway info). It's not a long hallway as it's a condo. Agreed to service, Date and time. Upon date of arrival the company called and indicated they could come out 4 hours earlier in the morning instead of the afternoon. 9 AM. Pain, but exert special effort to get myself to the property and agree.Next thing I know it's 8:37 am & they're calling wondering where I'm at. Said I won't be there till 9am. Once they arrived brought all the equipment up and about to begin service I was advised there is an extra charge for upstairs units, and technician is sure the office advised. No they didn't and I advised the person I talked to on the phone that this was an upstairs unit during the initial order placement phone call AND HE SAID NOTHING. Charged $165 for two rooms and a hallway. Just a wee bit over the quote given now don't you think? Totally unprofessional in taking the order and getting cost estimate to the customer. read more

They didn't have the "kit" with them and they didn't complete all of the steps ie. heating the leather to accept the conditioner, as outlined on their website. The guys were polite, but they spent more time watching the television than they did cleaning the sofa. Totally taken to the "cleaners" on this one, no pun intended. Never, ever again. read more
