The staff are nice and friendly and willing to help. This store has tons of items your big box stores could only dream of selling. Great place for those items that are tough to find but not in most retailers. The screws and nails are still sold by the pound! They have been in business here since 1899! There's tables full of tools and merchandise and bins of fasteners and they'll cut keys for you and I've even purchased gardening tools here but they just might be functional souvenirs from the coolest gift shop ever ;-) Really, there's spare parts and fluids and coatings in wall cubbies for things that were old when Moses was young; an amazing array of scythes, buck-saws, and other implements of indeterminate age but obviously well used and cared for as you would expect in these surroundings.

I was pleasantly surprised by their small but unique variety of succulents. I was able to grab 3 cactus and 2 succulents. You pay inside the gift shop. They have a wide variety of gifts as well as local honey. Ms. Beverly checked us out and recognized my last name and said she went to school with one of my family members that lived in the area. The greenhouse should get a lot more succulents once it gets warm so I am definitely coming back in the spring to see what kinda cool succulents I can find. I started having a problem with the throttle control on the lawn vacuum engine. After a few phone calls to Home Depot and Agri-Fab I was referred to Faulk Brothers on Orr Rd, an AUTHORIZED Briggs and Stratton repair shop. A gentleman by the name of GERALD answered the phone. I explained to him that I recently purchased the machine and Agri-Fab referred me to Faulk Brothers for the repair. Before I could even get the words out of my mouth he said they ONLY REPAIR COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT and referred me to another company, Lay of The Land. I called them. They wanted me to bring it in. I'm a partially disabled veteran and the machine weighs over 350 lbs. I called Home Depot back and explained my problem. I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER! I told them I'd find a way to bring it back. Long story short, I wasn't A BIG LANDSCAPE COMPANY SO GERALD DIDN'T WANT TO BRING HIS LAZY BUTT OUT TO LOOK AT IT. I will say the next day he called AFTER Agri-Fab called him. He said he'd send someone out. I told him he must have lied to me the day before because I'm not a COMMERCIAL customer! Told him I'd figure something out and not to worry about it. Beware when you deal with Faulk Brothers. Especially, if you're THE LITTLE GUY!
