Nashville's new dance craze is Milele Academy. I had the opportunity to attend one of their many…read moreclasses on New Year's Day, the Resolution WERKout with Jay Conn and it was so much fun. Milele Academy is located in the Next Level Fitness building entrance but on the right side. This two level space offers a plethora of classes from ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and many more that is suited for every dance and fitness level. Check their websites: http://www.mileleacademy.com https://www.instagram.com/mileleacademy/?hl=en for available class times, prices, and instructional videos. I love the design of the studio! First level has a large dance floor with mirrors, disco balls, a flat screen tv that played hip hop videos, lounging areas, and stage/platform that display several trophies. The second floor has a balcony that overlooks the first floor with a comfortable seating area, ballet room, and two gender neutral restrooms. They may have more but that is all I could see without opening doors or being too nosey. Overall it is a clean and comfortable environment. Parking on Church Street can be challenging at times. Luckily their are parking options: -There are a few spots in front of the Fitness Level-Milele Academy building, -Free street meter parking after 6pm, and -Free parking in the Metro Medical parking lot. Overall I enjoyed my experience and highly recommend Milele Academy to anyone who loves to dance and/or has a desire to learn professional choreography.

She was even super helpful about the music and lights in the studio, providing me information about how to use both during my rental. She gave me privacy throughout the rental, but she was in the room next-door in case I needed anything. It's Tennessee, though, so it felt a little more humid than my usual home studios! Poles and floor are in great shape, and they easily swap with the quick-lock tech from X-Pole. Restroom was clean and easily accessible and stocked with band-aids and hair ties and other period products if needed. (I believe the restroom was up a stair, though, for accessibility purposes.) Parking lot is a little small and has seen better days; if you can choose between a compact car or a big-ass truck, your compact car will be able to better get back out of here. Great to see it has a private lot though. Beautiful, photogenic pole studio with a really friendly studio owner.

We came here to celebrate a birthday and I just so happened to be on the winning team with the birthday girl. I meannnn...we were going to win regardless lol. The manager and staff here was so accommodating. We did the late night game show around 11:15pm which allowed all of us to participate. Our game host was THE BEST. She brought the vibes, fun, and the ultimate game host voice. If you're looking for family fun, date night, friend outing, birthday celebration etc... this is the place! Very family friendly and inclusive for ALL.

One funny interaction we had with the staff - I asked if they celebrated birthdays. They said, "sure!" I asked if it had to be day of or the month of. They said, "it doesn't matter!" Anyways, long story short, no discounts for birthdays and we also did not celebrate the birthday in any manner inside the game room . Went to this venue with 4 of my friends. The game room actually handles 12 people, but in my opinion, that is way too many. I think 6 or 8 split into 2 teams would be an ideal number. Too many people means each person gets to do less. We were luckily paired with 3 strangers that were fun. That's going to be a variable you can't control. The game itself lasts an hour. The game show involves randomly chosen mini-games where two teams compete to score points. I believe it always ends in $$$$$, which is a giant Plinko machine. I think part of the fun is not knowing what the games are. Most of them are word games or trivia games, but there were certainly some more unique ones as well. We had a blast playing this game, partly due to being paired up with fun strangers. Would I come back to do the same experience? Probably not with my same group of friends, but maybe with others. That and some variability in the games (randomly chosen games from a set of 20) would make the show less repetitive. Definitely worth trying once.
