I've tried several salons during my time in Lawrence and Greenroom has FAR surpassed all of them. I called to make my first appointment after waiting over a year since my last cut and they recommended Megan, saying she's particularly good with long hair like mine. Megan took the time to talk over what I was looking for and made me feel like I'd known her for years as soon as she was shampooing my hair. While their salon has plenty of products for sale, she explained which ones she was using but didn't push me to purchase anything like some salons too often do. I came in with inches upon inches of dead split ends on my hair and left with a bouncy, perfectly layered masterpiece that I was actually *gasp* HAPPY with! I'm very picky about my hair so this was huge for me. I returned for a second haircut by Megan a couple months ago and was again extremely satisfied with the results. Finally a stylist who actually understands my hair!!

I liked my beautician at Beauty Brands, but I kept getting that I can't wear my hair as long as I want it. And that caramel tones wouldn't look right. After googling ombré that was it. You get personalized hair color with no red tape...(in my case, that would be called caramel tape, which Beauty Brands didn't think would look good against my coloring.) My appointment was at 9:00. The staff here at Sally's always seems as if they never want to be here, but today I had the worst experience from the clerk - Taylor. I have been doing my own nails for almost 3 years now and I come here to get all my supplies. I like to shop in person than online so I know what I'm getting. Last time I was in a rush and grabbed the wrong powder color and needed to exchange for the same size and different color today. Taylor came back with what I thought was the same size and the color I needed, but it was a bigger size so it was an up charge. Taylor failed to communicate that with me prior to ringing it up. I didn't bring my wallet because usually even exchanges you don't pay anything. I let her know I would have to go back to the car and get my wallet and I'm assuming she thought I wasn't coming back at all and snatched both the products back and said very sarcastically "have a great day". This kind of service is disappointing especially because I spend so much money here and come here frequently. I hope that Sally's can put customer service at the top of their priority list in the future, because this makes me want to drive to another town and shop there.
