Booking a table for 6pm they were very accommodating of our 2 year daughter and my dads dog (happy to sit under the table) - our table really was a fully random bunch but worked for us :-) First off it's right on the canal which is great to sit out and there's room to sit out front and back for at least 50 people. Inside there's a large bar and a dining room for around another 50 I reckon. The drinks selection was ok and fairly standard but there were some great local beers on - my dad and myself especially enjoyed the 'Maid Marian' hoppy beer! The food on offer was typically pub (basically crossing every type of food across the world and back again...) but the fish and chips were great, salmon looked tasty and my dads linguine hit the spot. Most mains were under a tenner. Overall a great place to visit and I'd happily go back again tomorrow!

There's a limited amount of parking spaces but as it's not too busy there most of the time you can be pretty sure that you will get a space to park. You have to be a member to play but it's only a couple of quid to sign up and you can then grab a table. The prices here are pretty reasonable. There's a bar if you'd like to grab a pint or something softer while you are relaxing and enjoying a few frames. The ambience in there is very fitting for snooker, very little noise so you can concentrate on your shots. Overall a really nice spot.

The good thing about this pub is the food - it is absolutely divine and yummy. There is so much choice from the traditional all day breakfast, fish and chips, burgers, etc to paninis and pastas. The prices arent too dear either and they do lots of offers on the food too like 2 for 1 menu, kids menu and grill nights, etc. The pub has different theme nights on from jazz to swing to disco and soul which are usually a really good night out and it does get really busy. It wasnt till the day after i realised just how many other family members were annoyed at the service they received. Me, my Aunty, my Mum & my Dad all sent emails to the Ragalds via their website, not once did we get an apology or even a responce. Absolutely disgraceful. Because of this i make sure to point out to everyone i know that they should steer clear of the place, i still don't understand why they're still in business.

Various local events held here throughout the year as it has a good sized hall. A community police officer is also based here throughout the week. Needs to be used to stay open (as the council are often threatening to close it) so worth considering it as a venue for events or signing up to one of the classes held here!
