Stage Stop Campground, Neosho, Missouri. Small (11-site), gravel road with relatively flat sites, full hookups (50 amp, water and sewer), inexpensive (under $30), decent WiFi (15 MB's), has a swingset and slide, quiet, and a friendly owner (John) and friendly camp host (Jeff) -- plus a very clean, creatively themed/painted bath house. Great for a one-nighter. No dog park, rules strictly enforced about dogs staying on leashes and cleaning up after your pets.
Small, so recommend calling ahead to reserve. About a mile off I-49 just South of Joplin.
NOTE: per the owner, this campground stayed open to help out full-timers with no place to go when shutdowns began due to COVID. That rates highly in my book. Plus, love to support small businesses. read more
