We've tried this spot a few times as they have lots of courts available. The flooring is softer and there is plenty of space between courts for you to walk in-between and no birdies from other games will interrupt yours. The lights are not too harsh so you are still able to see birdies even if they go high. Great spot to go if you have a big group or multiple courts as there's lots of space to hangout and wait around. The carpet is a little dusty and the facility can get quite humid and smelly from the lack of air conditioning circulation but it just becomes something you get used to after you play a few games. You're only allowed to book the space a week in advanced though so sometimes it makes planning games a little difficult. read more

This is essentially a shipping container that has been transformed into a badminton court! It is huge and has around 18 or 20 courts!! I thought it was a very genius way of utilizing the space. They also have camps for kids to learn badminton as well as adult classes. It is around $50 for 2hrs, we usually go in groups of 6 so it doesn't add up to too much. We usually go from 6-8pm which is definitely their busy hours so you have to book in advance. One thing to note is that their washrooms are not very clean, but other than that it is an excellent after work activity to enjoy with friends. read more

After Friday work, I had stopped here with other five co-workers. We booked 2 hours 3:30pm-5:30pm bringing own tools. Just right side of badminton courts, there are toilets and shower. I didn't see the lockers but you can bring your bag to your booked court. It's very simple venue like it converted from warehouse. And it's hard to say cleaned because the floor besides of courts were so messy and no vacuumed at all. Around 4:30pm, it's getting busy and I could feel lots of moisture inside of the building. Air circulation was not good enough neither. Anyway we paid $30 for 2 hours booking. Only $6 when we shared it and very affordable to keep exercising. I'm sure we will be back. read more

This is a spacious place with 18 total courts. The staff was friendly and helpful over the phone as wel as in-person. I came with a group of friends wanting to play with others and meet new people, so we needed to know whether this place was rental dominate or drop-in dominate. Luckily, it was drop-in during the time we will be there which was Saturday night. We arrived and the staff member informed us that there was another group of people also there who may be interested in mixing it up. Although, there are lots of courts and a fair number of people, it wasn't the easiest to get games with other people, even though we were assertive, as many of the people came to play amongst their own group. However, it may be because we are new and it takes some time to get to know the regulars. The only downside I would say about this place is that they do not have a freezer to keep their ice packs. They only had their reusable ice pack in the fridge, which wasn't cold enough at all for any injury. As far as rotation goes, it seems many of the people here come with others and claim a court and area. They will rotate on and off the court they have set their stuff by. Since there is no actual claim to the court unless it was rented, it is still possible to play on other courts. As far as amenities, the ladies' restroom had three stalls with one being the handicap stall. There are shower stalls in the back as well. They also have select bottled beverages in the fridge for sale. I would definitely be back to play in the future. read more

I think this is our new Badminton hang out for the next little while! I like Stage 18. It's got 18 courts. They're all clean and well maintained. There a lot of space in between courts so you've got a place to store your bags and stuff while you're playing. I think this place has changed owners a couple of times. We use to come here but we've been going to Badminton Vancouver for the last little while. The main reason I like this place is the staff does not chase us off the courts when our rental time has expired! That's what the guy at Badminton Vancouver had been doing! I swore I wouldn't book there again! Look buddy the place is almost empty! Chasing customers off your courts just pisses customers off! What does pissed customers lead to? Less business! read more

Friend got hurt and broke his wrist while playing at this location. No first aid trained staff, no first aid kit on site, no ice or cold pack on site...freezer was apparently broken. Staff didn't even assist in calling an ambulance when requested. Court lines dont line up. Wouldn't recommend unless you come prepared for the worst yourself. read more

Disappointed that Stage18 Badminton advertises that it's $13/hr all day on weekends for a court rental in their website but when you arrive they then tell you it's only $13 if you purchase 20hrs of court rental for $390 and they'll give you 10 hrs free so only then does it work out to be $13/Hr. We were charged $20/Hr if you do not buy the pkg. They really should update their website as it's misleading or maybe that was the point. The facility itself is good, the staff seemed indifferent towards customers and it's a bit far on No. 6Rd. There are other facilities more central in Richmond that ranges $15-$20/hr so we will probably go somewhere closer since Stage18 aren't actually charging any cheaper than the other badminton places in Richmond. read more

Lots of courts but washrooms are dirty and non-functional. Courts have discoloured tape and some have uneven gaps.

Stage 18 is being run into the ground by the current owners. The bathrooms are never cleaned and are revolting. They smell disgusting, there is feces on the men's toilets, hair all over the women's bathroom and stains on sinks, toilets and showers from not ever being cleaned. The courts are never swept and the court lines are all being torn up and not repaired properly. It's a shame because this facility had so much potential. read more

One of the larger badminton centre in GVD and absolutely the worse customer service of all centres. Owner does not appreciate businesses and will be more than happy to yell at you if not talk to you rudely. Staffs has always been accommodating but if the owner(s) doesn't learn to treat their customer with respect and appreciate our business than perhaps they should venture into a less customer oriented business next time. read more

a group of us around 9 to 12 people come on Tuesday evenings to chill and play some badminton. I find the ventilation here is better than Ace badminton and the rental fee isn't too much. comes down to about 4 to 5 bucks a person depending on the number of people that night. read more
