Most likely cause it's very hard to reach using public transit. We arrived around 5 min before our booking time. The front staff asked for our proof of vaccination before letting us in. They have a lot of court, and it's very clean, but the floor is a bit slippery. The staff does not care whether you use dark coloured sole shoes; non marking is optional. There are rest bench for every court, labelled with the court number. We could play badminton match without wearing our mask. Washroom is very clean; a lot of amenities, there are two of changing room, two shower rooms, and lockers. Seems like you can buy necessary stuff t the front desk like racket, shuttlecock, shoes, and water, but minimum charge with card is $5.

Lots of parking and close to transit. There's not much space between the courts and the lines for the courts by the walls are tight such that you might scratch your racket so if you are reserving over the phone, be sure to ask for the middle courts, when possible to maximize your experience. The floor is smooth; no issues with the flooring. Overall, still a good spot to go if you're looking to play badminton with a group of people. Lots of picnic tables for your gear and to rest. The interior is quite large, and surprisingly doesn't echo too badly. Must be because of the mats they use in the courts. It makes the game a lot more comfortable than playing on bare concrete. The website advertises it as a "floating floor system". This is worth a special mention as it does take some of the strain off your legs. The staff are VERY anal about keeping this floor in top shape (must've been expensive to buy and install), so there is a "non-marking sole" rule that is quite tightly enforced. They actually check your shoes before letting you in the playing area. And there is a $100 fine if you play with the wrong shoes and mark up the floor. They mean business. Some of my friends complained that the ambient temperature was too cold (I would say it was 10-15C), but I actually found it quite pleasant. Sure it's cold when you first come in, but it also ensures that you don't cook after a couple of intense rounds. There are also plenty of tables, chairs, and benches for you to leave your gear while you play. There are also security cameras throughout the building and parking lot so hopefully your car won't get broken into. One last thing: the girl working here speaks somewhat crappy English, so hopefully you have a Taiwanese friend with you. Not sure if it was the same person when I called in a few days ago, but there was quite a disconnect between the questions I asked about the facility and the answers I received. One of the better places to play baddy for sure. Recommended.

The lights are not too harsh so you are still able to see birdies even if they go high. Great spot to go if you have a big group or multiple courts as there's lots of space to hangout and wait around. The carpet is a little dusty and the facility can get quite humid and smelly from the lack of air conditioning circulation but it just becomes something you get used to after you play a few games. You're only allowed to book the space a week in advanced though so sometimes it makes planning games a little difficult.

One thing to note is that their washrooms are not very clean, but other than that it is an excellent after work activity to enjoy with friends.

Climbing shoes, harness, and grigri rental is included in the lesson price. The instruction given was clear, and helpful. They also tested me by purposely doing things wrong (grigri on the wrong side, the rope is too long, etc), and asked me to verify that everything is good to go. I got the chance to belay the other lesson taker, and the instructor would pointed out what habit I need to fix. After the lesson, I got a piece of paper to review what I learned today. I also got a bit of free time to climb on my own. 7 days trial is included in lesson so that you can climb and practice more. The oval climbing gym offers bouldering (small section), lead, and speed climbing. Pretty solid climbing gym in my opinion!

Trout Lake and Mount Pleasant both lost their racquet courts when the facilities were renovated/replaced, so courts are harder and harder to find and to book. It's not crazy busy as many parks board facilities are because Killarney is so close by. The fitness area is spacious and fairly well equipped, but a few very basic things are strangely missing, like a dedicated bench press. They close super early (4pm) on weekends, so be mindful of that when planning your recreation.
