What a barber shop should be! Cool shop, experienced barbers, fast service. My first haircut here was with Kenny and I was very impressed, he is meticulous, knowledgeable, and a cool dude overall. You can tell he takes pride in his work. Can't recommend enough! read more

Classic old town barbershop, CASH ONLY don't complain he's doing a great service. Cuts mine and the kids hair. Owner is beyond awesome. Wil be the regular spot. Banter is awesome, but i wonder what they say about me when I leave.... haha whatever its a good time and we've only had solid cuts. read more

great barbers, good vibes. clean service and conversations. went there after a couple years of not getting a cut to their new spot of ownership and its still immaculate as it was before! i can't wait to return there for my cut. got a great cut pomade and baseball tee just because the hospitality was immaculate. read more

Place was filthy and smelled bad. They location is in a run down strip mall. Barber was rude and possibly even had been drinking. He would not listen to the instructions I gave to have my haircut. After he argued I decided to go elsewhere. read more

Yikes I have a young son who has yet to get his 1st haircut. My husband graciously agreed to be the Guinea pig. This place is close to home and has 4 stars.. lemme tell you it's not 4 stars for the old guy. If you ever walk into a salon or a barber and you ask how long is the wait (because you see SEVERAL people waiting) and someone says I'll take you now ( red flag ) My husbands hair ... I mean he has none now. His long beard... GONE. I haven't seen his chin or lips in yearssssss. I can now see them. There were patches of bald, patches of long hairs, he had neck hair Lastly, the amount of hair he was collecting on his work station, his chair, and on the corner of the floor... it looks like it's a hobby to collect random human hair with the pile he had. The clippers were full of someone's else's hair ( my husband doesn't have dark hair.. well when he had hair). So heed my warning. DO. NOT. GO. TO. THE. OLD. MAN. Or else you'll be begging your normal barber to fix it ( like we did) or call your wife to bring you a hat like the other review said. Oh & did I mention.... The old guy is the owner ... or so he said. read more

Called and asked for an appt. they were friendly and said they don't do appts. Showed up and two people were waiting. We were welcomed warmly and one of the barbers showed my 3 year old a huge toy box! He was thrilled. Observing the barbers while I waited it was so nice to see the sense of community and welcoming that they had with their customers. There was country music playing and the whole inside is covered with pelts and hunting themed stuff, some taxidermy preservations of animals. Everything was very clean. Tony Took good care of us and we had really nice conversation while my son got his haircut. The cut was fast, everything was very smoothly transitioned into a standard Gentlemans cut. Very pleased with this haircut and wish we lived closer so we could go more often. read more

Top class veteran owned business that refuses to give in to political pressures. I have not found a place with a decent haircut in years... Until I Found the Stag! The conversation is great and very freedom oriented. Don't believe the garbage reviews about white supremacy... these guys are nothing like that at all! Those reviews are political hit pieces. If you want an old fashioned barber shop that gives a heckuva haircut and respects our freedoms, look no further! read more

I live in marysville. Come all the way here to have kenny and Tony trim my beard. I consider both of them friends and recommend anyone to these 2 as they both do a fantastic job and are always willing to share jokes read more

This place is just awful. I walk in and immediately notice how packed and cramped it is in there. The place was absolutely packed with people waiting and this room is probably 8' x 16' in size, and I am being generous. Did not get greeted or even acknowledged by the staff for the 2 minutes I ended up being there. The smell of this place is pretty rancid, you can pretty much infer that they don't really clean the place at all. The absolute worst part is that not one person was wearing a mask, not even the barbers. Everybody was pretty much touching shoulders and it is absolutely unacceptable that this establishment didn't seem to care at all. I ended up walking out and can definitely tell you I will never be going back. read more

Great place for a haircut and a b.s. session ! Tony is a very talented barber. This is my barber shop! read more

Great place to get a hair cut. We went in and desperately needed a haircut, and I do mean desperately. Bob did a spectacular job of blending and taking the time to do a clean and professional hair cut. We also enjoyed some of the history that accompanied his shop, and honest answers to questions during our brief time there. In the past, hairdressers and barbers have asked the questions, this time, I realized it was me who was asking the questions. Thanks for the engaging conversation and fabulous hair cut. Highly recommend this unique and welcoming shop! read more

New spot! Showed Bob the picture of what I wanted and since he's been the owner of the shop for 49 years it was easy for him to do exactly what I wanted! Finally I've found the shop I've been looking for; for about 3 years now. Great conversation and chill vibe! If you want a traditional Barber Shop experience this is the place. read more

Great traditional veteran barbershop. I debated going here because of all the 1 star reviews. Don't believe them they are all mad because of masks. Always great conversations waiting with customers. I always get a great hair cut. All the barbers are veterans. read more

Came here on my lunch break because I really needed a haircut, and it was close to work. They also somehow have really good reviews online.. I saw some reviews mentioning that they proudly display their political views, but I thought that shouldn't matter if they give a good haircut. The older man was open so I sat down. As I sit down I see that there is a variety of different color hairs in the crack of his chair.. wish I would have taken that as a red flag and left. Basically he did a hack job. Way shorter than I asked for, and so many straggle long hairs. It was actually the worst hair cut I've had. I had to have my partner bring a hat to me at work, because I was so embarrassed. Someone needs to have the heart to tell this guy to retire. Also having to hear homophobic slurs was just a bonus. read more

Super friendly and cozy environment. Came on the weekend once and they had doughnuts the kids were stoked. So fun! Cash only though. read more

Be very careful. I went with an open mind given the publicity. However reviews are correct bad cuts. Please look up his info. No current barber or cosmetology license. I couldn't even find one ever being issued so this may be why the cuts are not up to par. read more

Why is it so hard to find a good barber? This guy just does what he wants no matter what you ask for. He probably has like 2-3 styles that he can do, so if you like one of these this will probably work for you. It doesn't work for me. He's also pretty expensive for a barber. I'll keep looking, odds are that you should too. read more

I've had my haircut by Bob a handful of times and every time I leave very pleased! He's a very kind soul that lives his job and does great work! I will continue to support him. read more

Tony is the s#it. Gives great haircuts and he's a cool guy. My favorite barber. P.S. Do not call him a hairstylist, he's a Barber! right An-tony? ha ha read more

Got my haircut from Bob. Very nice guy with a lot of stories. I thought I would get a great cut since he's been doing it for ages but it honestly was the worst cut of my life. My wife literally laughed when I showed her. Uneven and choppy. Big red flag when your barber rushes you and doesn't ask your opinion when he's done. Usually you get a mirror to check it out before hoping out of the chair. I had a feeling he didn't want me to see what a crappy job he did so he gave me the boot lol. Was really hoping to find a new shop near by. I might try another stylist here before I give up. read more

Great hair cut for my son. Beautifully done. Salute to this business owner and employees.

My husband was just in there for a beard trim and a head shave this morning and the guy that helped him took almost his whole beard off that he had been growing since last November and gave him some weird high and tight. My husband clearly explained exactly what he wanted before he got started. And worst part is we leave for vacation tomorrow and this was supposed to be a relaxing experience for him. He felt like he couldn't even make a complaint and was rushed out the door. Biggest waste of $30 and he will never go back. Sucks because he was referred to this place by so many people and was really looking forward to going there. read more

Heidi is phenomenal. I'm new in town and needed to find a stylist that would listen to me but take charge as well. Tall order but she did so in spades. I do not need/want a goody bag or a fancy schmancy salon--just a great cut. I got it. Go to Heidi. You will not be disappointed. And she is so affordable. She deserves a great tip with this price. read more

I met Tony on New Year's Eve in Snohomish. Told me he was a barber and I've been looking for a solid barber in the area. Dude is absolutely legit. Great cut. Solid conversation. I got a decent product with pretty bad customer service. The sign that hangs on the wall reading "the customer is never right" is taken very seriously. I am very disappointed with my experience. read more

Went here with a friend to get a haircut. The place was incredibly uninviting and my haircut was not only more expensive than a place in the same neighborhood - but my haircut was uneven and lopsided. Won't be going back. read more

I went their and told the old man to just trim/tighten up my hair cut. Told him on how i wanted it done and he acknowledge. Then proceeded to do exactly what I didn't want him to do, cut the length off of my hair. Then he told me the hair I didn't want him to cut looks better with out it. Now I'm walking around with a shit haircut. I don't recommend going here regardless of what side you are on in politics. If you go there expect to come out with a bad haircut. read more

Awesome old fashioned barber shop, friendly folks that are game for a chat while you get a cut or shave. Will definitely be back.

Heard about this barber giving the middle finger to the shutdown orders and had to give him my business after doing my own haircuts for the past year during COVID-19 lunacy. Great conversation and great haircut. Thanks Bob for a good old fashioned haircut!! read more

My husband was in desperate need of cleaning up his newly grown out beard...not to mention a haircut! We searched long and hard for a suitable place and found Tony at The Stag. I would definitely recommend Tony based on what I saw and my husband likes him too! read more
