I was in Spencer Saturday night celebrating Becoming A Grandfather with my Son & Family, we also were Gonna watch the Colts game we went to Staffords Liquors to buy alcohol. I purchased a case of Millerlite bottles, a bottle of Ten year Tin Cup , A bottle of Buffalo Trace. there was 2 Staff members that night, I was checked out by a new hire he was friendly. I spent $103 on liquor that night the clerk put both bottles of Bourbon in a single bag , I placed the bag on the case of Beer , when I got 8 feet from the door I sat down the beer and soon as I picked up the $85 bag of bourbon the bag ripped both bottles fell , the Buffalo Trace hit the parking lot , luckily the High dollar Tin Cup landed on the Case of beer. The Buffalo Trace bottle broke instantly. I went back inside the store to explain the Bourbon was inadequately bagged and caused it to rip thru the paper sack, I would like a replacement bottle, the new staff member who bagged it expressed his apologizes and went to ask the other staff member in charge and he rudely explained there was nothing they could do because it didn't happen inside the store! I said I was just outside the door! And had I not put the bag on the case of beer it would have happened immediately after check out! So after several minutes of trying to understand why he was so unwilling to make it right and replace a bottle of $27 bourbon after I spent $103 on liquor Especially since the person who bagged it admitted that he should have used 2 bags! after that disastrous customer service experience I swore I'd never buy from Staffords Liquor again!.... read more
