Sharing platter puds are rather to die for too. The also brought a little slate (#wewantplates!) of handmade chocolates with candles in for my brother too. Nice wine list, my only complaint would be, around 30% of the staff were seriously grumpy, luckily though this was mostly outweighed by the other wonderful 70% THE LUNCH club sandwich and blackcurrant and soda (because this girl loves a drink that takes like medicine!) took a while, and was mostly lovely, but I have never seen so much mayonnaise in one place, it was how I met your mother erickson layered salad overkill!!

Typical for the UK I suppose. Bed super small for my 6'4 frame but managed just fine. No AC and the room was very warm despite being February. But figured out how to open the windows and became much better. Very nice bar in here with lots of drafts. Good restaurant also. Had the fish and chips which was very good. The free breakfast also very good. Very nice service here. Walk out the front door and you are on the main drag of shops, cafe and pubs.

We had great weather and the opportunity to sit outside (they have a nice garden area inside the building with the rooms) was fantastic. Also, the pub has tables by the pond and great to get a drink, we even had dinner, next to the water with the ducks walking among the tables. Rooms are comfortable but not exceptional. Service is friendly. Despite the beautiful grounds, the walking trails near the hotel, including along a channel, are underwhelming. I was also not that impressed with the nearby towns but the RAF Museum, 30 mins away, is worth an afternoon.

A prom in highschool, a wedding last year, and endless dinners and lunches. The staff are always marvellous, and the food is always great. The bar is extremely dark, which is always a huge shock, but particularly on days like Saturday where the sun was so bright! I was feeling a little fragile and not particularly hungry after a breakfast treat in stafford with a wonderful friend, so plumped for something light. I fancied the duck salad, and was told it was off the menu, I said I would leave it, as everything else seemed quite heavy or dairy Laiden. It turned out a couple of minutes later- the only thing they didn't have was the peanuts, due to a severe allergy guest that day (why they didn't say that to begin with, I don't know) but it was wonderful, the dick wasn't too fatty, and fell off the bone wonderfully. Everything intermingled beautifully, giving you a different taste every time you took a bite. I do recommend this place, most certainly- but I will say- do double check fine print if you are having your wedding here! My uncle fell into the pudding trap last summer- so be careful!

If they call newly refurbished newly painted walls then ok, but the rooms consist of terribly dated and dirty furniture, uncomfortable plastic coated matresses, tiny 10 inch telly....the divan beds are so bad they've even covered the base. The bedroom is located close to a busy road so the traffic can keep u awake. My partner ran the shower for 15 mins before any hot water came through and when it did it was boiling hot. With regards to price, my partner and work colleague stayed here due to working in the local hospital so I booked them two rooms, we was charged 46.00 for each room for 3 nights. That's nearly £300 for a guest house that some hostels beat. To be fair the breakfast was adequate, but I can only dread the kitchen conditions in which it was cooked in. We waited for some time to be checked in but the gent was friendly enough. The room itself was clean, the bed comfy and all the usual amenities like tea & coffee, hairdryer, towel heated rack, tv etc. The shower looked puny but packed a punch too! Anyway here is where it loses its stars..first the double bed was actually two singles squished together so it dipped in the middle making spooning uncomfortable..the breakfast itself didn't look to be of a high standard for the money and most annoyingly we were not made aware of any construction work. After a late Saturday night the last thing I wanted was to have industrial machinery acting as my alarm clock at 8am. When we tried to check out there was no one there to complain to so we chucked our key into the pile. Overall the room was comfy but it lacked a good service..food and the unexpected noise..

There's not much to say about one Premier Inn that you can't say about them all and I've found the…read moreones I've stayed in recently all to be of a consistently high standard. Clean, spacious en-suite rooms with a massive comfy bed for £50 a night or less, dotted all over the country in convenient locations. Sure, you can't tell one from another once you're inside and I wouldn't stay in one for a proper holiday as I like a bit more homestyle charm, but if you're breaking up a long journey or need an overnight stay somewhere (the one at Watford North is great if you're going to the Harry Potter studio tour) then I'd always look at Premier Inn before any of the other budget style travel inns. Staff are always polite and pleasant, rooms are clean and comfy, there's a place to eat right next door if you need food. Job done.

Stayed over on a Saturday night at this excellent Travelodge. I was given a ground floor room, with…read moremy thoughts being oh dear - the cars are very near my window. But I have to say the room was so clean and felt so new that I was wowed and the sound proofing around the windows must have been excellent. because I awoke refreshed the next day - and all the cars had gone without waking me! The other great thing was that this Travelodge is on the edge of a small retail park, with just a 50 yard walk to a Pizza (Hut - I think) and a KFC - both open until late (KFC was midnight), so there's a chance for a coffee and some chicken or even a nice sit down meal before retiring. This Travelodge gets **five** stars from me.
