Needing a place to stay after a show I decided to book here. Conveniently located in town and with a nice old feel to it.
We waited for some time to be checked in but the gent was friendly enough. The room itself was clean, the bed comfy and all the usual amenities like tea & coffee, hairdryer, towel heated rack, tv etc. The shower looked puny but packed a punch too!
Anyway here is where it loses its stars..first the double bed was actually two singles squished together so it dipped in the middle making spooning uncomfortable..the breakfast itself didn't look to be of a high standard for the money and most annoyingly we were not made aware of any construction work. After a late Saturday night the last thing I wanted was to have industrial machinery acting as my alarm clock at 8am. When we tried to check out there was no one there to complain to so we chucked our key into the pile.
Overall the room was comfy but it lacked a good service..food and the unexpected noise.. read more
