Sunnycroft is a rather wonderfully titled 'Gentleman's Villa' with a mini country estate attached.
The inside of the house is stuningly preserved with an amazing number of original features. It's a delight to look round, although sadly, it's only possible to view the house as part of a tour; the tours are very interesting & insightful, but rather long & not ideal if you're visiting with younger children. Also, photography is not allowed inside the house house, which I always think is a real shame.
Outside, the greenhouses, while they don't appear to be fully utilised are stunning to view, the gardens are small but perfectly maintained (the dahlias are fabulous), there are some lovely little chickens kept next to the orchard & there are often delightful games available to play on the lawn, including croquet & bowls. read more
