I had a terrible experience with one of them, he basically made reconstruction sound like no big deal, no need for physical therapy and showed me tear drop shaped implants. I decided to get a second opinion on this "too good to be true" reconstruction. I landed in Dr Kalnoki's office, SHE IS THE BEST! Not only did she spend 2 hours with me at my consult, she explained why you need therapy and what shape implants (not the tear drops because they'll flip and you'll have awkward boobs), all about risks and benefits and how to choose whats best for you, as an INDIVIDUAL. She's done a fellowship and has immense knowledge. I woke up from my mastectomy with reconstruction happy as a clam! My breasts look almost identical to before they were removed and redone! Dr K monitored me closely and her office staff, Tammy answers all my questions....Holly helps you schedule and Kris knows about insurance. They are wonderful. Being a gym/swim gorilla they kept me on a tight leash and didn't sugar coat anything. More offices need to be like that! I am going in for some fat-grafting procedures to make sure my breasts are even closer to normal. Dr K takes your own fat and injects it where you have divots and dimples. She has a very keen eye. If you don't believe me, head on in for you consult.

Prior to going to Dr. Feins I did see several other surgeons, however not a single one of them gave me confidence that Dr. Feins did. I recently lost 100lbs and was left with a fair amount of lose skin on my lower belly (mothers apron). I wanted it taken off and to have a flat tummy and that is exactly what I was given. I could never thank Dr. Feins and his team enough for giving me the opportunity to have the body of my dreams. I spoke to his nurse Charlotte more than him because she actually listened! My top surgery(trans male surgery) is not at all what I expected or agreed on and I regret not waiting to find someone else. His attitude switches from "you matter" to "I don't care" after surgery and didn't seem interested in my welfare until I ended up in the ER. I feel like his ego was more important than my satisfaction in his work. The revision was rough and cold like I was a burden, not a patient, and it hurt ridiculously but he seemed to rush through it. The end results are depressing, I spent years saving$ for a surgery I now regret. Now I'll need to find another surgeon to fix things because I refuse to go back.

From my initial consultation, through surgery and all of my post-op care, my experience has been exactly what I had hoped for. I'm incredibly grateful to Dr. Costa and his entire team.

I developed keloid scars under both breasts. Still, he did not inform me what I had or how to help myself. He repeatedly advised massaging the area with vitamin E. Keloid scarring is irritating and erythematous. The scars are raised and thick. I would not recommend this doctor. He does not take the time to evaluate each patient properly, and his communication skills are inadequate. I waited to write this to see if my scars would heal over time, and they have not. Working with him was the worst decision I have made in the field of plastic surgery. There is more, as he did three procedures, but I will not go on. I wasted my money and am permanently scarred. The lack of communication left me feeling empty, uncared for, and cheated. Please! Dr. Lee and Carly Matthews, his PA, explained every detail of what could happen in surgery, good and bad, in a way where I didn't feel I needed to pull out a medical dictionary. He reiterated at the pre-op appointment and on the day of surgery exactly what he would be removing and re-implanting during the procedure from start to finish and I knew I was in good hands which is always a plus before you entrust a surgeon to make that first cut. I received first rate care from everyone I interacted with starting on the day of the initial consultation at his office as well as with the coordinator who scheduled the surgery, the nurses and Anesthetists on the day of the procedure at the River's Edge 1-Day Surgery Center and then back at the office for post-op care. My husband is in the medical field and looks for faults with providers and their staff but couldn't find any flaws with Dr. Lee and his team. It's been 3 weeks since surgery and I couldn't be happier with the end results as compared to what I had prior to surgery.
