We purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Ashley Furniture Store…read more The couch piece came damaged, a hole in the material and the footrest did not operate correctly. Ashley called upon Dad's to come out and repair my furniture. It took forever, let us say over a month and one half. For them to call and then come out. The material with a penny size hole was not repaired properly and made it look like the material was melting and colored on. The Footrest was better by adjusting connecting pieces but it was not repair thoroughly, it does not close properly. So after calling Ashley back it took another month for Dad's to call for service again to come out and at this time the hole can't be repair. And it should have been deemed replacement needed by the company.

I recently moved to the Spokane Valley, and he found me because my furniture restoration work has been consistently rated five stars on Google my business. I found him enthusiastic and very knowledgeable, and a wealth of information on this profession. One of his clients called me the next day, and I completed the gluing on their five chairs within 24 hours. He's a man of his word, and the community will be losing a real treasure when he finally retires. Anyone interested in my services can find me at penningtonfinishes.com

I'm kind of surprised no one else has reviewed this business…read more They specialize in repairing, refinishing and restoring furniture, especially antiques, including that which is damaged by moving, water and fire. They even do upholstery and re-caning, and yes, they do handle insurance claims. I bought a jewelry box from an inexperienced seller on eBay. It was collectible prior to being shipped, but the seller basically dropped it into a box, no padding, no protection, and mailed it to me. I'm kind of surprised the box didn't break, but it was heavily scratched, dented and just blech. Worst part is, it's a black box with a specific lacquer, and lacquer is painfully difficult to match. They spent far longer on this box than they should have, probably putting in more work than I actually paid for. And wouldn't take more money for their services. They did a fabulous job, far better than I had expected. Knowledgable, experienced, and very trustworthy.

Or maybe upgrades you think you should be able to do, but may be just a little outside of your comfort zone or skill set? If so, I suggest you call Max of Greater Spokane Handyman sooner rather than later! Max took care of a tricky dimmer switch that I thought I should be able to install, two beautiful outdoor carriage lights that had been sitting in my garage for months waiting patiently to be installed, and a new programmable thermostat ( which would have left me freezing if I had attempted, which he even programmed for me!). So, if you want a talented, personable and reasonably priced handyman I wholeheartedly recommend you give Max a call!

We contacted Max and he was able to come and help us on short notice. He was able to disconnect the old one and install the new one, which included hardwiring it as there was no outlet. The work was outstanding and completed very quickly. This is a rental home and I'm sure we would not hesitate to contact Max for any future work.

Handy Ma'am repaired multiple leaky sink water lines, a kitchen sink, installed a new toilet and…read moreinstalled a new dishwasher for me. She was quick to respond via text, she was affordable and very communicative during the jobs. When she ran into situations where she needed my input/decision, she texted me photos of the problem along with multiple options with pros/cons for me to choose. Unbeknownst to me the bathroom floor sits at a slight angle, which would have made the toilet lean. I appreciated her attention to this. She texted me photos of her level on the toilet showing the tilt along with options for different shims we could use. After the dishwasher was installed, she let me know all of the things she did to ensure it was done right as well as running a full cycle. All of this communication made me feel confident. I was also able to give her the code to the house and she ensured it was locked up and cleaned up each day she left. Another confidence builder for me. Lastly, I appreciated her attitude. She seemed like she enjoyed what she was doing and took pride in it vs making the job sound bigger or more complicated than it was. I'd absolutely recommend Handy Ma'am to anyone in Spokane looking for handy-person services in Spokane.
