This is one of the best nurseries around. I actually found it because I was going to Tractor Supply nearby for plants, but they didn't have all that I wanted so I went to Stacks. I almost got lost in the outdoor nursery, but in a good way. So many plants. So little time. I ended up buying three Lily of the Nile plants and they've been growing perfectly since I planted them at home. Luckily this isn't too close to home or I'd be here all the time. Every time you walk up, there's some friendly folks to ask if they can help. Everyone seems to have a good sense of how to care for the plants and if they don't they're quick to find another employee that does. Very much appreciate that. The selection is huge here. Definitely love walking the grounds and imagining what plants I could arrange where in my yard. Natalie and her team at Stacks are the best! We have a pretty good sized yard and a fully developed landscape design but some of the grasses and plants had died off over the past 3-1/2 years we've lived here, largely due to VERY cold winter spells. They came out, did a full walk around, gave us very specific ideas for replacements and then followed through on the work very quickly. I wish I had taken before and after pictures. They replaced the dead plants, ripped out all of the overgrown weeds, laid down landscape fabric, mulched and everything looks fantastic for a very reasonable price compared with other quotes. In addition, we were going to pull up and replace our rose bushes but Natalie talked us out of it, had her guys spray for pests and mold, cut the bushes way back and now they are amazing! She saved us a ton of money there. She was responsive, knowledgeable and her team did high quality work. Highly recommend. read more

First of, great selection of houseplants, flowers, shrubs and trees. They have your queen Japanese maple and japanese red maple, palmetto palm and etc. I was looking for a monstera deliciosa at the time and they don't have it which is fine because I got a different plant . Yep, you come in looking for something specific and you go home with something else. People who works there are nice, our questions were answered without them being rude and it was so nice to stroll around since their nursery is a decent size. read more

Today was my first trip to Stacks. I am a widowed retiree and know nothing about plants and gardening. I told them I needed some advice on which plants would work well on my large screened- in porch. The person that helped me offered many suggestions and took time to answer all my questions. I will not use Stacks nursery again. Ordered a few pallets of sod this past May first few weeks it looked fine. we did all the necessary prep work. Sodded where we once had a large flower bed and patched lawn in areas disturbed because we had gas run to the house. Suddenly started turning brown The rest of my yard is beautiful Went back show them pictures and they sold me a product that they said would work miracles. Have not seen the miracle till this day. Stacks can deliver and install larger trees, or whatever you want cuz they have a couple of crews for it. They also offer pavers, sod, soil, rock and crushed granite. Very nice nursery and quite a selection of items. Very customer friendly staff. OMG, I was able to buy sod in winter where other local stores had nothing. Just navigating the nursery was fun. The uniqueness of the plants and there are really nice pots and garden accessories. I could stay exploring all day. I also was nice that I was there while Christmas trees were plentiful so for the upcoming season, this nursery is a nice option. read more

My wife and I spent a small fortune with Stacks Nursery last summer and we had multiple plants die within a few months of them installing around our back yard. We have called and texted the owner multiple times and all we get is I am sorry i do not recall this conversation. We went to the nursery to talk to him but he wouldn't even make an effort to come out of his office. It is maybe a few hundred dollars (their cost) in plants that they should replace but seem to not care much about a customer after they collect their money! read more

Stacks Nursery beats every nursery or big box store for Christmas greenery. We ordered roping/garland. It was custom made, not only the measurements for each area required, but the mantle garlands were hand-designed to lay flat. The cost was surprisingly close to shoddy competitors. I've been a big supporter of Stacks since I wrote my Initial review until about a year ago. It's like they got too big for their britches. Last spring I went by to pick up some plants and just didn't receive the same exceptional customer service that I was used to, but I honestly didn't think much of it. Then a few weeks ago I stopped in to see about getting my yard sodded and a stone path that I have touched up. I told the man helping me about my project and he took down all of my information. He said he'd pass it along to the person who would come out and give me an estimate, and since I live so close they could probably come out quickly to check out my yard. 3 days later I still hadn't heard a word from anyone so I called to see what was going on. I confirmed that they had all of my contact information correct and was assured I'd get a call soon. It's been probably 2 full weeks now and still nothing from them. I found Palmetto Landscape and Design on yelp and used them instead. My project is done and looks fabulous, no thanks to Stacks. read more

Stack's can be a good place to do business .... when all is said and done ... if you are willing to do some of their work for them. Often situation normal is disorganization, poor communication and lack of responsiveness. If I am willing to be patient and go back time after time to ensure that I am getting the proper results, then the outcome can be good. Unfortunately, I have run out of patience with this approach. The problem of course is that Stack's may be the best choice in a highly unreliable and undependable industry. read more

Stacks Nursery came to my rescue. When another sod contractor "disappeared" I drove to Stacks and explained my dilemma. With Tropical Storm Bonnie baring down on us and a yard full of dirt, Mike (commercial division) and the rest of the gang all pitched in to take care of me. Sod was delivered over a three day weekend and we laid it in the rain. We didn't loose an inch of dirt through three days of rain. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate good customer service and these folks are great. Highly recommend them to all homeowners. read more

I went to Stacks today, yes it was Mothers Day, but that day is supposed to be the busiest garden day of the year. I waited and waited, there were several people waiting also. A lot of people after waiting a 1/2 hour just left. I really needed to get something that a real nursery would have, not a big box store. You would think if they were not going to be open they would post a sign or something on the gate that says they are open 7 days a week. Oh, well you missed a lot of sales on this day and i will not be coming back. I know that a lot of mom n' pop nurseries are going by the wayside because of the big box stores. I bought two trees from them that they brought out and planted. A week later they still hadn't perked up so I called Stacks and they came out at no charge and gave me lessons in what I had done wrong and how to fix it. They stayed quite awhile and taught me a lot. It's been five years and the trees have grown a lot and are family favorites. read more
